Tierärztliche Fachpraxis Dr. Michael Hartmann

Yesterday, I brought my cockatiel, Miko, to this practice for the first time, as my usual vet couldn't help him any further. I'm thrilled with the practice and the service here. The ladies at reception and the veterinary assistant were incredibly kind, and Mr. Hartmann made a very competent impression. He explained every step of the treatment to me and took plenty of time. I will only bring my birds here from now on.

We took our leopard gecko to the vet for the first time today. Dr. Hartmann is very kind and competent. His handling of the animal was also very professional and not at all rough. I felt, and my pet felt, in good hands. I won't go to any other vet. Especially since there isn't a reptile vet in the area anyway. I'm happy to drive 50 minutes each way. The assistants are also very friendly, of course. 😊

We first took our cat Kiebi to Dr. Hartmann about three months ago because she was suffering from gingivostomatitis. Our veterinarian had specifically recommended this practice because they specialize in such cases. After I sent an email explaining our situation, I was contacted immediately, and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly for Kiebi to have a thorough examination. Once everything was clarified, another appointment was scheduled for X-rays and surgery. The entire team—as well as Dr. Hartmann himself—was consistently excellent to us. The surgery went smoothly, and after a total of four follow-up appointments (at our request, to be absolutely certain), we were finally discharged this week. I can hardly express how grateful we are to the entire team. We always felt incredibly well cared for, understood, and welcome. Our conclusion: Would we recommend this practice? YES—100%! Thank you all so much ❤️

The woman on the phone is completely unsuitable and out of place. The most unfriendly employee of a service provider we have ever encountered. Her basic attitude was "I don't care," unempathetic, and above all, destructive. She was utterly indifferent to the suffering of a protected (!!) animal in acute (!!!) distress – she told us we would have to go to Karlsruhe (!). That's insane. Completely insane. The practice was already a mess under Dr. Steidel.

We were at the practice today because of some knocked-out teeth. I was absolutely blown away. The staff was friendly, and Dr. Hartmann was competent and professional. Since my Aussie, Sammy, also has epilepsy, he calmly and honestly explained the existing risks to me. And the findings of the dental examination were explained to me in a professional and comprehensive way. I'm scheduling the surgery for tomorrow and can already sleep more soundly because I feel like my dog ​​is truly the main patient here, not the owner. The loving way they interacted with my dog, even during the examination, makes me feel like I've found the best possible doctor. I'm so grateful for this very positive experience in what was a very uncertain and stressful situation for me with my most loyal friend. Small update: After the surgery, my enthusiasm for the practice and the team is even greater—from the initial consultation to the procedure itself, right through to the recovery. Everything was perfect. My little epileptic is doing great. Every possible effort was made to perform the surgery as gently as possible while still ensuring the highest level of expertise. The result, and especially the fact that the EPI didn't cause much of a reaction after the surgery, speaks for itself.
