She charged emergency fees of €50 during her normal business hours. This isn't reputable. According to my research, this is only permitted outside of normal business hours. The medication only cost €0.73. She charged everything else at double the standard rate. In essence, she just looked at something, immediately administered a medication injection, and wrote the invoice. The total amount was over €180 for 6 minutes, including writing the invoice. The veterinary association wants €50-100 to review the invoice and expresses no vested interest in violations by its members.

I had a very bad experience. Both in terms of the sensitive handling of the animal and the diagnosis and treatment. My cat was put under anesthesia at 15 years old because, supposedly, her teeth were the cause of her problems. When I picked her up later, she was lying in a metal cage in a cold room with a wet little towel underneath her, even though I was specifically asked to leave a blanket because warmth was very important after the surgery. The blanket was on the windowsill... It was in December. The problems persisted. Another vet couldn't understand the purpose of the procedure. To this day, I blame myself for entrusting my pet to this person.

Unfortunately, we had to visit Ms. Kaspers in Kandel on Christmas Eve morning because our beloved pet had apparently broken or dislocated his leg. We were there for about 20 minutes, 17 of which were spent writing the bill. She took his temperature, felt his paw for 5 seconds, and pulled it back once—that was it. She claimed it was just a sprain and gave us some pain medication. She didn't even examine his other leg or his back, let alone take an X-ray. Three days later, our little hero was dead! He died a miserable death, and we couldn't do anything because we couldn't get an appointment anywhere. We made a huge mistake and trusted her, thinking she knew what she was doing and that it really was just a sprain. We never would have imagined that our little guy would die because of this. And she charged us 300 euros for it! Anyone who wants to keep their beloved pet should never go there.

When we still lived nearby, we took all our animals to Dr. Kaspers for treatment and were very satisfied. She always took wonderful care of each one (a dog and two cats). She never tried to push unnecessary procedures on us and even advised against certain things if they weren't absolutely necessary. I really appreciate that. Recently, after more than three years, we went back to her (we'd since moved and changed vets). We described the incident, and she gave us an appointment right away. Upon arrival, she addressed everything, explained everything in detail, and went through the next steps with us. We, and the animals too, always feel very comfortable with her, and she is very helpful and friendly.
