Tierärztliche Praxis für Pferde Dr. Sebastian Lutz

Thank you for the past years, during which my horse has always received excellent care! From vaccinations and dental work to the past pasture accident that unfortunately required stitches, everything was always to my complete satisfaction. Special thanks to Dr. Meidl for his patience; he always answered all my questions and personally handled everything during my two pregnancies, always with such calm and care that Rufus felt as comfortable as possible. Due to an acute emergency, I called this clinic/practice to our stable for a lameness examination of a very old horse. I should mention beforehand that this clinic/practice is the only one in the area that has a fully battery-powered X-ray machine and dental equipment, eliminating the need for a power outlet. I had previously inquired about this at other clinics closer to my horse by phone, as I wanted to have the X-ray option covered during the first visit to avoid a second trip for myself and the horse. As a new client, immediate payment (card or cash) was required. I was informed of this over the phone. The estimated price according to the new German Veterinary Fee Schedule (GOT) was also provided to me proactively over the phone, which I appreciated. I'd rather not comment on my opinion of the new GOT regarding travel costs and house call fees, but suffice it to say, for that price, I could personally transport a horse that was fit for transport to the clinic ten times over. The vet and trainee who came to our stable were very friendly. The vet seemed highly competent and experienced, and despite the challenging lighting conditions, she was able to diagnose and treat my horse's problem relatively quickly. My horse is doing well again today. I found the fees charged to be fair, even according to the new German Veterinary Fee Schedule (GOT). Good work should be compensated accordingly. In conclusion: I would use their services again anytime, both professionally and personally, if absolutely necessary. However, due to the travel costs, I would prefer to drive any horse that is able to be transported directly to the clinic myself and save the money or invest it in the treatment.

My vet of choice for years. Competent, friendly, and accessible. I feel that my horse and I are in very good hands, and I can recommend the practice without reservation.

On June 16, 2021, we had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to our beloved Paloma, who was almost 31 years old. We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Rapp, who responded quickly and cared for our horse with competence, calmness, and compassion. A truly wonderful veterinarian. We wish her all the best for the future and thank her again a thousand times!

My absolute favorite: high level of expertise, quick response times, a strong service orientation, and a very friendly approach. In emergency situations, they act swiftly and professionally, and if necessary, they will perform a complicated dental surgery in the comfort of my own home. The Schwan practice cared for my mare for the last six years of her life. A special thank you to Mr. Lutz, who, with incredible dignity, respect, and calm, relieved my horse of her acute suffering after 20 years together. I wish the entire practice continued success.
