The vet was incredibly kind, very competent, took plenty of time, and explained everything very clearly. I'm thrilled and can wholeheartedly recommend this practice!

This man is a disaster. My mare had several unrelated symptoms. So we started looking for the cause at the front and ended up back again. First, his colleague came. She's very empathetic and helpful. Eventually, based on different movement patterns, we suspected it might be bone spavin. So, we had to take x-rays. Fiorito had to come along too. Not only does the man not know what academic anatomical riding is, but he also apparently has an "X-ray vision" that he charges a premium for. Without even looking at the x-rays, he diagnosed a bilateral suspensory ligament injury, saying the horse wouldn't last another four weeks (spoiler alert: that was a year ago, and the pony is now happily trotting around the pasture), and that painkillers weren't even necessary. So there I was, standing in tears, while he accused me of having ruined my animal and told me I should just accept it. I was left standing there with a horse that was clearly in pain, and I received absolutely no help because "there's nothing more we can do now anyway." A week later, the same horse had colic. Friday evening. No one else was available, so I had no choice but to call him. At the farm, I was greeted with "Great, that's not how I imagined my Friday evening." He then tied one of the injured hind legs to the horse's neck with a rope. She nearly jumped upside down in panic. But whatever, there's nothing more we can do anyway 😉 Two weeks later, I had a different vet come out. I received a proper diagnosis with a sensible explanation. Initially, it was more serious than I had thought, but it was information I could work with. What the good man forgot to mention: it's a Friesian. 19 years old. Due to age and anatomy, the tendons and ligaments have stretched. The resulting overextension means that both front sides of the hind legs are almost completely straight. Yes, she's retired and yes, she'll never be rideable again. Nevertheless, she has value and deserves a comfortable retirement. With regular osteopathy and sensible groundwork, she's now, a year later, completely pain-free. In most cases, something can still be done. Best regards

For me, there's no better vet for my mare. I always get appointments promptly, which are reliably and punctually kept (otherwise, he calls me). His handling of my very special and anxious mare is/was absolutely exemplary. He is very empathetic and always checked in on my mare while she was at the clinic (he even arranged everything with the clinic beforehand on his own initiative). I have absolutely nothing to complain about!
