Excellent veterinary practice, highly recommended! During our family visit to the Eifel region, we took our German Shepherd to the veterinary practice of Susanne Fügen and were absolutely delighted. Since we actually live abroad, we needed a short-notice appointment because our dog's rabies vaccination needed to be boosted while we were still in Germany. The process was perfectly organized: we called on Thursday and immediately got an appointment for Monday morning at 8:30 a.m.: quick, uncomplicated, and very professional. The practice is ideally located on the edge of town, so you can easily take your dog for a walk before and after the appointment. The premises are modern, very well-maintained, and absolutely inviting. The waiting time was pleasantly short. Ample parking is also available. What deserves special mention is how our dog was treated: they took plenty of time, gave him the opportunity to calmly get used to the surroundings, and were very gentle. A few treats certainly helped! 😊 We received comprehensive and expert advice, our dog was thoroughly examined, and the vaccination went absolutely smoothly. Afterwards, they even took the time to answer any remaining questions. The entire team was consistently friendly, approachable, and service-oriented—exactly what you'd hope for. We also found the price-performance ratio to be very fair. Should we need services again during future visits to the Eifel region, we will gladly return. A clear 5 stars and an unqualified recommendation!

It's been a month since I had to let my old dog go. This happened at the Fügen veterinary practice, performed by a very kind and empathetic colleague of Ms. Fügen. As I was about to leave the practice, devastated and carrying my dead dog in my arms, the receptionist approached me about the bill. I politely asked if it was really necessary right now. The answer: Yes, you also need the euthanasia certificate. I said that I didn't care about it at that moment and left, putting my dead dog in the car and driving off. Paying the bill was a given for me, a matter of course. On the drive home, which only takes 10 minutes, I received the email with the bill. However, the crucial euthanasia certificate for my dog was missing and, despite two phone calls, was still pending. I responded to the bill email, received less than 30 minutes after my dog's death, with two emails. Content: Thank you for your empathy, and shame on you. While I was preparing my dog's grave, I received a call from Ms. Fügen, who told me I had reprimanded her employee and that I have no right to reprimand anyone in her practice. I said that this was absolutely not the case and explained the situation with the bill. Ms. Fügen then said that no one receives bills from her and everyone has to pay immediately. It wasn't so much a conversation as a tirade of insults directed at me. I said that everything was clear then and she should simply check her account, as I had made a direct transfer of her claim immediately upon receiving it. So, from my side, everything was more than fine. Incidentally, I consider the amount demanded to be completely excessive, as I subsequently saw another bill from a veterinarian for the euthanasia of a small dog. This bill only amounted to one-third of my total bill. I wish Ms. Fügen had attempted a conversation after her verbal attack on me. She was able to do that immediately after my dog died. I think anyone who has to let go of a long-time friend is extremely sensitive in those moments. A month has passed since then. It's very, very sad, but unfortunately, due to the aforementioned case, I can't recommend it.
