Tierarzt Dr. G. Hanke Garbsen

Dr. Hanke is an incredibly wonderful and experienced veterinarian who truly deserves more than five stars. She cared for our two dogs for almost their entire lives, and we always felt very comfortable in her practice. Her approach to both people and animals is particularly noteworthy, as she works with incredible empathy and sensitivity. We experienced many difficult (health-related) situations and always received such warm and compassionate support. Dr. Hanke also accompanied our dogs and us through the most difficult and final stages of their lives, and as hard as that journey was, we wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else. Dr. Hanke guided us through it with the kindness and compassion that is essential in the most heartbreaking moments. She dedicated a great deal of time to us. Over the years, she also comforted us through many tears, never rushing, but always taking ample time for us. This also applied to any questions we might have. Whenever there were multiple options for approach or treatment, she explained them all and left the decision to us, the owners. We never felt judged, and we always felt that she had the best interests of both animal and human at heart. We never got the impression that she was trying to "make money" off us—on the contrary, she often prioritized more cost-effective solutions over more expensive methods. Furthermore, Dr. Hanke was always incredibly competent and up-to-date on the latest developments in veterinary medicine. And, something we personally appreciated very much, she always referred us to other veterinarians when they were experts in a particular field (e.g., epilepsy, cancer, heart disease, etc.). In such cases, she worked closely with the other veterinarians, which greatly eased the difficult situation. In addition, we obtained medication for our chronically ill dog through the practice for over 10 years. Here, too, the practice was always reliable, and whenever there were supply shortages, they did everything humanly possible to get the medication for us. We NEVER felt like "just one of many patients." Scheduling appointments was always very easy, flexible, and prompt. Waiting times were usually very short or nonexistent. And when we were passing away, Dr. Hanke was especially accommodating. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything and the wonderful care you provided over all these years! Dr. Riedel, the other veterinarian at the practice, also always provided us with very warm and competent care. We were always in the best hands with her as well! Therefore, we would also like to express our sincere gratitude to her!

Dr. Hanke and her team are fantastic! Last year, I found a cat and took it in. She was ill, and I was looking for a vet. Luckily, I found Dr. Hanke. I got an appointment quickly, and my little furball was very well cared for. Follow-up appointments were also straightforward, handled quickly in emergencies, and very lovingly. The team has always been competent, kind, and understanding, not only towards my kitten, but also towards me. As a new pet owner, I am very happy to have found Dr. Hanke's practice. I had my two male cats neutered here and I'm absolutely thrilled with the entire process. I received a warm welcome and thorough consultation right from the first appointment. The operations went smoothly, both cats recovered quickly and were feeling well again in no time. It's clear that the team is very experienced, empathetic, and loving with animals. The veterinarian is very competent. She saved my dog ​​from certain death. She works in conjunction with the veterinary clinic in Langenhagen. I was lied to, cheated, and ripped off by the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. After that, I had to find the right veterinarian. After visiting this veterinarian, my dog ​​has a chance to recover. I am very grateful.

She and her team are incredibly friendly and caring towards us humans, and just as wonderful with our animals. Everything is explained clearly and understandably, without us having to ask. If questions do arise, she takes the time to answer them. We are happy to drive a few extra kilometers to bring our pets (dog and cat) there.
