I bought a puppy and went to Dr. Plum's yesterday to have several things checked out concerning my puppy. I was actually quite satisfied with the veterinarian's treatment. However, I found it perfectly reasonable that I first had to contact the puppy's seller to get her to release the veterinarian from confidentiality so she could discuss the puppy's initial examination with me. But I find it outrageous that the veterinarian then shared the results of yesterday's examination with the seller, even though the puppy has new owners, and that the veterinarian disclosed the animal's condition without a release from confidentiality from the new owners. She is not a good veterinarian in my opinion, and I will not be going to that practice again.

It's actually difficult for me to write anything right now, as we've had a really bad day and our dog Skip is suspected of having a serious infection. Even though they were on emergency call, the veterinary practice was very attentive and took their time. My wife and I were there for a total of 4 1/2 hours. They had a thorough examination, an IV, and so on. Everything was done calmly and without any stress, not only by Dr. Plum but also by the entire practice team. They were always friendly, kind, helpful, and efficient. They were very considerate of our dog's leash aggression, and thanks to the team's calm demeanor, he tolerated everything. There was no rush, and this was on Christmas Eve! We are very grateful, especially since this isn't our usual veterinary practice, and we hope the suspicion is unfounded. Anyone looking for a vet in Geilenkirchen or the surrounding area will be in excellent hands at this practice. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

No vet should work like this!!!! On January 23rd, I took my West Highland Terrier to Dr. Plum because he was eating very little, if at all. An examination, 4-5 blood tests, and an ultrasound were performed, but no concrete diagnosis was given, and after 20 minutes, I was out €368. I was given some pills and reminded her that he wasn't eating anything and therefore I didn't know how he was supposed to take the medication. The curt reply: "Then I'll figure something out." Days later, I called the practice and asked if there was anything to stimulate his appetite. At the practice, I received different pills and a helpful tip from an assistant on how to administer them. Unfortunately, this only worked for a very short time. When I called again (during Carnival week), I was told that Dr. Plum was sick and the practice was closed. I should go to another vet or the animal hospital. Up to this point, I still hadn't received the results of the blood test. I sought help at the Hoogveld Animal Clinic in Echt. After a brief consultation and examination, they determined that they absolutely needed the test results from Ms. Plum. These arrived at the clinic later that day, incomplete. The ultrasound images were missing. I called Ms. Plum again. She stated, "She can't forward the ultrasound image." However, she added a comment: "The dog certainly has enough to counteract this" (Barney had lost over 5 pounds by then). So, the ultrasound had to be performed again at the animal clinic. Due to the disastrous blood test results and the ultrasound findings, Barney received IV fluids and had to stay at the clinic for three days (he hadn't eaten for eight days!). After three days, when his blood work continued to worsen and he hadn't eaten for 10 days and had to be force-fed, I took him home again (February 26th), where he was then euthanized and buried. So much suffering could have been avoided for Barney and me if Ms. Plum had looked at the blood work and the ultrasound and simply picked up the phone...

I've been taking Mimi to Dr. Plum for quite some time now, and I'll continue to do so! She's empathetic, understanding, and respects your opinions. She doesn't try to push expensive treatments or medications on you. 🙌 She focuses entirely on the animal and its owner, and her dental surgery a few years ago went perfectly. It couldn't be better for my Mimi. ❣️
