I very rarely write reviews, and I do so very reluctantly... but when I just received a notification from Google on my phone asking, "How was your visit to the practice 3 days ago?"... I have to admit I felt a bit taken aback! Because with our second pet, our family has encountered a complete lack of empathy at this practice. Here's the story: Three days ago, my mother, in a panic, arrived at the practice at lunchtime after calling ahead ("Can you come right away?") with our 9-year-old Collie. She was greeted with the comment, "Oh, that's Ms. Seidel, the one who's keeping me from taking my lunch break!" The dog had developed a high fever (40°C) within a few hours, and the imaging revealed pneumonia. Earlier that morning, the dog had been as lively as ever and perfectly healthy. After receiving on-site medical treatment, he was told that he should be significantly better by Wednesday after receiving a cortisone injection and oral antibiotics to be administered at home. Otherwise, the antibiotic regimen would have to be changed. The poor dog vomited repeatedly after taking the tablets and continued to deteriorate at home, so he had to be carried back to the car and admitted to another veterinary clinic on Tuesday evening. He had to be euthanized on Wednesday evening because the intravenous antibiotics were no longer effective. The pneumonia had spread rapidly through his bloodstream. Of course, this text contains many strong emotions, and it's not primarily about assigning blame or questioning competence—it's about the unemotional and unempathetic way people are treated there, from the very first contact. Because, unfortunately, it's not just about the animals, but also about human interaction. ] ' ... This is officially our last visit there, and we certainly won't recommend it to anyone, especially not in an emergency.

Two incredibly kind, competent, and empathetic veterinarians who take plenty of time for both people and animals. You receive sound and honest advice here, and no experiments. We usually took our dogs to Dr. Holleber and were always very satisfied. The entire team is friendly and warm-hearted and helps out whenever possible, even outside of regular office hours. Appointments for urgent cases are available quickly, and waiting times are minimal. We highly recommend them.

We have been going to this practice for many years and feel completely at ease. They take plenty of time to explain things clearly and, if necessary, get an appointment quickly in emergencies. Waiting times are usually very short. Many thanks to the entire team!

Ms. Kuhrau performed a cardiac ultrasound on my cat. She was very competent, friendly, and pleasantly straightforward, which I greatly appreciated. My cat remained completely calm throughout, a very good sign. Highly recommended!

I came to the practice with my dog on March 11, 2026, at 5:40 p.m. without an appointment, as my dog had been vomiting and having diarrhea for several hours. At reception, I was told that treatments were only available by appointment, and then they added, "...you can see what's going on here..." Thanks for nothing!
