Almost a year and a half ago, we were facing a seemingly hopeless situation with our Weimaraner. Several veterinarians had practically given us a death sentence. For almost six weeks, she couldn't walk or even stand up on her own—and yet she had this will to live, this look that said, "I'm not finished yet." So we made the long trip to see Dr. Kusan. And today I know: That was the best decision. Dr. Kusan had a completely different perspective on the situation than all the other vets and pursued entirely different approaches. This thoroughness, this proactive approach, and the courage to consciously deviate from a planned course of action deeply impressed us. Here, the animal is the focus, not a method. Her expertise is exceptionally meticulous, calm, and clear, and she always conveys the feeling that she is genuinely considering what is truly beneficial. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kusan and her team. Our 1.5-year-old livestock guardian dog was suffering from severe pain due to bilateral hip dysplasia and could barely move or play.
