Reviews
Pets are treated there in the best possible way. Without Dr. Heigl, my dog would have died several times. Each time, she correctly identified the cause of his symptoms and was able to save him. I am very grateful.
Our experience with Dr. Heigl's practice initially started positively. We had adopted our dog from abroad and were looking for a local veterinarian in February 2024. Although we had already been informed by phone that Dr. Heigl was no longer accepting new patients, we were still able to see her. At first, we felt quite comfortable. However, the situation escalated when we urgently needed help at short notice because we had forgotten about her booster vaccination. Instead of trying to find a solution, Dr. Heigl reacted surprisingly rudely, accused us of only calling when absolutely necessary, and abruptly told us that we weren't her clientele and should find another veterinarian. Only after we subsequently visited a different veterinary practice did it turn out that Dr. Heigl had unnecessarily administered a repeat rabies vaccination, including a booster, during our first visit. Our dog already had a valid rabies vaccination from the previous year, which was valid for three years. This was confirmed by both the new veterinary practice and the veterinary office. It's also worth noting that only cash payments are accepted, and we did not receive an invoice. Overall, our feeling of being well cared for has unfortunately completely changed. We are ultimately glad to be in better hands at a different practice and would therefore not recommend Dr. Heigl's practice.
The practice might be a little unusual, but Dr. Heigl is very competent, honest, and friendly. She clearly cares deeply about the animals. Highly recommended.
What a shame! I've been taking my animals to Dr. Heigl for almost 30 years. Today, I was told on the phone that she's no longer interested in people like me. She said I only come when my animals are sick and that I should get their vaccinations done at another vet! Which is absolute nonsense! So, I'm supposed to find another vet. It's a shame that long-term patients have to be treated this way.
Two weeks ago, I called Dr. Heigl's veterinary practice because my cat had conjunctivitis and my regular vet was on vacation. Unfortunately, I was immediately treated very rudely and reprimanded for daring to call and ask for an appointment. A simple "No, I'm sorry, our practice is full and isn't accepting any new animals" would have been perfectly sufficient. I was brusquely told to go to an emergency veterinary clinic, where, thankfully, I was able to get an appointment immediately and was very happy about that. Thanks for the "very unfriendly conversation"—I definitely wouldn't recommend them.
