Reviews
We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again for the care of our dog. An emergency C-section was performed on Friday evening at 10:45 pm in the ice and snow. We were allowed to come without hesitation. Thank you to Dr. Risse and, of course, the assisting veterinary technician. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🐾🐾
I am deeply disappointed, stunned, and furious about this so-called emergency service. We called an hour and a half in advance because of a clear emergency: my cat had burned his paw. Even during that first phone call, the veterinarian didn't seem professional, interested, or empathetic at all. The case was downplayed as if it weren't a real emergency. Nevertheless, we set off and drove for almost an hour to the clinic. During the drive, she called us and told us to call 10 minutes before arriving. We did exactly that: ten minutes before we got there, we called and let her know. We arrived at the clinic. No one answered the door. We called again. Then, suddenly, they said she couldn't come because of the weather. Honestly: We live in 2026. Everyone has a cell phone, everyone can look out their window. All of Germany knew there would be black ice that night—including weather warnings. This argument is absolutely unacceptable to me. The vet could have looked out the window or canceled the appointment at any time during the hour we were on the road. Instead, she said she hadn't thought the weather would be so bad—even though it had been obvious for hours. The fact is: We drove for an hour. The vet would have only had about a ten-minute drive. She made no effort, didn't prepare, and simply left us stranded. Now it's midnight, I'm sitting in the car with my injured cat, and I have to drive to another clinic because this emergency service completely failed. To me, this behavior is highly unprofessional, incompetent, and irresponsible. No compassion, no sense of responsibility, no genuine interest in the profession or in animal welfare. I will never use this emergency service again and will not recommend this practice to anyone. If even the emergency service operates like this, I don't even want to imagine how things work here otherwise.
I am more than satisfied with this veterinary practice! From the very first minute, I felt taken seriously and in excellent hands. I would particularly like to emphasize the calm, confident, and respectful way my dog was treated – without any prejudice against his breed, which unfortunately isn't always the case. Since my dog's heart needed to be checked, I was understandably worried. I am all the more grateful for the thorough, highly competent examination and the clear explanations. Plenty of time was taken, everything was carefully examined, and I always felt that my dog's best interests were truly being served. You can immediately tell that the animal's well-being is their top priority. A practice with heart, experience, and genuine love for animals. I can wholeheartedly recommend this veterinarian and will gladly return anytime. Thank you so much for the outstanding care!
