I brought my cat to the vet's office with persistent diarrhea. Dr. Mauer started the treatment with a pendulum, which struck me as very odd. His pendulum didn't register anything, so he gave my cat an injection "to stimulate digestion" and some homeopathic globules to take home. Upon further investigation, I discovered the injection was actually dissolved globules (Nux Vomica)! Knowing from the outset that this was a waste of money, I asked if I could bring in a stool sample for testing, as I suspected parasites. I did so, and the doctor claimed to have seen a few eggs in the stool. He administered deworming medication, and I left €100 at the practice, but my cat showed no improvement. Since I certainly won't be going back to that vet, I sent another stool sample to a reputable laboratory myself and received the results confirming that my cat has a parasite that can't be treated with deworming medication and requires other methods. Since implementing these treatments, the diarrhea quickly cleared up. The only star is well-deserved by the very friendly receptionist at the practice!
Our dogs got sick while we were on vacation. After we called, the veterinary practice arranged an immediate appointment for us. Since our dogs were very vocal and wary of other dogs, we were shown to a separate room. We thought that was fantastic. The vet and the nurse (there's probably a better term for that) were very kind to us and very calming to the dogs. As a result, the examination went very smoothly. Since we weren't familiar with Pirna, they gave us the necessary medication to take with us. Also excellent. The dogs got better day by day. Thank you again.
Today we were able to bring our dog in as an emergency patient; she injured her paw while we were on holiday here. We were seen immediately, and the way they treated us and our dog was calm, empathetic, and incredibly warm. Many thanks to Dr. Mauer and his wonderful assistant.
There's no routine parasite screening for my dog. The first veterinary practice in many years that doesn't offer this... Really bad.
Our Airedale Terrier, Apollo, was treated at the Kujus & Uhlig veterinary practice, and we are so glad we found them. Ms. Kujus and Ms. Uhlig impressed us with their professionalism, expertise, and empathy, giving us new hope for our beloved Apollo. We highly recommend the practice and both veterinarians.
