Appointment at 9:15 a.m. and I find the door locked. The practice is closed for personal reasons, but apparently you can't cancel appointments during that time with the client in advance. I took time off work specifically for this, and it was totally worth it. Not recommended.

I find it very sad that it seems you only get treatment if you're already a patient there. Today, a cat was hit by a car in Over am Deich. When we called, because it was the only veterinary practice nearby that was still open, we were referred to the animal hospital in Lüneburg, which is another 15 minutes further away than Winsen. The owner, who was completely distraught, just wanted to relieve her cat's severe pain. But if it's apparently too much to ask to relieve a cat's suffering and instead turns away a desperate cat owner, then this practice has failed in its calling.

Dr. Nottorf and her team have been caring for our beloved pets for years, and I've decided to continue using her despite the 110km distance. Great vet! I got an appointment quickly, didn't have to wait long, and everyone was very nice. My cat was in good hands.
