I can wholeheartedly recommend the Becker veterinary practice. Everyone is dedicated to the animals and the owners' worries and anxieties. Everything is explained clearly, and you feel very well cared for. The last few weeks haven't been easy for me and my two senior Labradors, and we had to visit them frequently. They received expert and compassionate care. After they could no longer get in the car, someone always came to our home to help when needed – not every veterinarian does that. During those last difficult days, the vets were always there for us and ensured that they could pass away peacefully at home. Thank you so much! I can only say, keep up the great work!

Unfortunately, I had a very traumatic experience at the vet's office, which I only feel ready to speak about publicly now, 10 months later. I would like to share my story, partly to find some closure myself, but also hopefully to give Mr. Becker some food for thought so that he can handle similar situations better in the future. In July 2025, I found my cat in my living room with a rope around his neck that had come loose from the scratching post. He was alive, but obviously not well. He was panting heavily, repeatedly letting out painful cries, and was unable to stand. It was Saturday afternoon – meaning no veterinary clinic was open. I found the local emergency veterinary service – the practice of Dr. Andreas Becker – through Google and called immediately. Initially, a woman (presumably Mrs. Becker) answered and advised me to wait 15 minutes, remain calm, and give my cat some dextrose – which I did. Fifteen minutes later, his condition hadn't changed, so I called again. I was told to come to the vet's office immediately. I'm a young student, I don't own a car, and the clinic was a 33-minute drive from where I live. Of course, these are circumstances beyond anyone's control, but they did affect me. I said I'd try to find a ride and call back to let them know when I'd arrive. A kind friend then drove us to the clinic as quickly as he could. I was incredibly upset by my cat's cries, but strangely enough, I was quite composed. Once there, I was greeted by Mr. Becker. He simply told me, "Please take a seat in the waiting room"—nothing more, nothing less. I then watched as he calmly brought a woman and her (healthy) dog into the examination room. Initially, I accepted the situation without resistance. About 10 minutes later, I overheard him having a long conversation with the woman, during which there was a lot of loud laughter. I thought I'd knock on the door to ask when I would receive help. No one answered. Okay… I sat down without saying anything. Meanwhile, my cat continued to meow and struggle. I cried the whole time, and my anxiety grew. Finally, the door opened. Suddenly, Mr. Becker shouted at me, "You don't need to make such a fuss. After all, you couldn't have come immediately." I arrived about 1.5 hours after the initial phone call… I was so shocked that all I could say was that I had never seen anything so inhumane. He then gave my cat a cursory, silent look and led me to Mrs. Becker in the next room. She finally examined my cat properly and explained each step to me. Unfortunately, my little mouse couldn't breathe for too long, and the only thing we could do was to end his suffering. The woman was incredibly competent and communicated everything openly, clearly, and calmly with me. When the decision was made to let him go, I collapsed and had a massive panic attack, and Ms. Becker supported me through that as well. I am so grateful to her for her entire approach and her empathy. I would have given Ms. Becker five stars. Unfortunately, I can't find any more words for Mr. Becker…

Competent, fast, and even shortly before closing time, they still take good care of the animal. Excellent!
