We came only once and never again!!! Our cat had a lump on his right side and the vet only touched the lump for a few seconds, then laughed at us and said it's just a fatty tissue lipoma, a benign tumor. She also said we should not stress the cat and that we are overreacting. since this didn't seem right to me, we went to another vet and got the tumor fully surgically removed. The pathological report showed that it was actually a highly aggressive fibrosarcoma!! DO NOT TRUST THIS VET. A horrible experience that possibly cost my cat his life. His prognosis at the moment is unclear and an earlier detection would likely make a difference.
Ok, people in the clinic are really nice when we visited, but communication after the visit has been terrible. Here’s our story: First we did a blood test on Monday and after that the doctor said that she will call us later when the results come out, well, later they wrote us that the test for parasites is negative but nothing about the rest of the markers. When I asked when should we expect them I received “the following days” Anyway, second problem was that on Wednesday morning I asked again about when to expect our blood results and I received the following: “the earliest is the next day in the evening” Meaning Thursday evening. But just 1 hour later I received another email saying “he has very high level of white blood cells, it seems he’s suffering from an infection and needs antibiotics, you can pick them up at midday…” The problem here was that this shocked us and made us worried, as they didn’t send us the blood results with that email. When I asked about the full blood results picture she said “I just checked them on mobile - I will send them as soon as I am in the office” - this is not professional, you just made 2 humans much more worried without even knowing what “very high” means. Anyway, the story continues, I got prescription for the antibiotics and a general recommendation of what type of other medications to get, but nothing like a brand and how much to give to the dog, so I asked this (on Wednesday). The problem was that we are travelling with our motor home and we were not in Vienna anymore. So we couldn’t pick the medications from the vet clinic and asked how much should we get from which brand and how much to give the dog and when during the day - no answer or any explanation to this question, we only got prescription for the antibiotic. The doctor also said that we can do another blood test for a specific enzyme to check one of the dogs organs, but she told us we can only do it if the laboratory has enough blood left from the previous blood testing. Well, we said yes. … it’s Friday afternoon, and I still don’t have any answer from them and decided to write them, to be honest a bit rude email as it was 5 days past the blood test and we still didn’t have an answer about exactly what medicaments, how much per day and for how long to give to the dog except the antibiotic prescription. After I wrote them, they answered with “we are still waiting for an answer?”, yes, with the question mark at the end… 15 minutes later they got back to me and said that they’ve contacted the laboratory and the laboratory don’t know as well if there will be enough blood left for the test (who knows then?), but if I want I can pay and proceed forward. And if there is not enough blood, they will refund me. Well we said no, as it has been too much for us, 5 days of going after them and trying to get basic information about our dogs medications Thankfully where I am now - in Brno, the vets are friendlier, they gave us a present - a full bag of treats and even didn’t charge us for the consultation. And in Vienna we were charged 20 euros for nail trimming, shouldn’t this be complimentary when you go and pay 500 euros for a regular check of a few things + 1 vaccine? Oh, and I forgot, I called on the phone to ask how much will cost a full blood test with all markers and they told me 40 euros. I didn’t pay 40 euros, I didn’t pay 80 as well for the blood picture. I paid a little more than 100 euros for just the blood picture. Without the additional services we did. You decide if you want to go there, they are really friendly, they really loved the dog, I have nothing bad to say about them as people, but the service is bad, I am sorry. Take that as a critique and improve your service. PS. - we finally got some direction on what type of medicaments to get, but don’t forget that I wasn’t asking for this over 3 times in the past 3 days (from Wednesday till Friday)
My partner and I independently looked for a vet in our area and we both ended up choosing Sonja Franz place. Our little Eevee went once to get accommodated to the place and feel at ease and got some kangaroo treats. When we went back for her 2nd vaccination we got comforted but she also got comforted and put in a place of trust ❤️ thank you for her
Dr. Kovacsova has been an amazing doctor and human. She really has a special touch with cats. She helped us with our kitten ear infection and cared for him so well. We couldn’t be more satisfied and grateful.
Today we had our first appointment with Dr. Franz. We have only recently gotten a dog, so it was very important for us to find a competent and kind doctor who speaks English, since unfortunately I don’t speak German. Dr. Franz exceeded all expectations based on the reviews we had read. She spent a full hour with me and my Labradoodle, explained everything very clearly, gave all the necessary vaccinations, and even gifted us a toy. Dr. Franz is not only a great professional, but also a wonderful person - just like the entire clinic team. Thank you very much!
