Dear Practice Team, I would like to share my personal feedback regarding the anesthesia my dog received on January 14, 2026, from Dr. Franz. It is important for me to emphasize that my feedback is not directed at Dr. Franz's professional competence, but solely at the manner in which the anesthesia was administered. After the anesthetic injections were given, I was asked to wait with my dog in the waiting area until he fell asleep. This area is very cold, extremely echoey, and also serves as an entrance and passageway for all clients. During this time, there was a high noise level with constant foot traffic. I sat on the floor with my dog and tried to reassure him. Nevertheless, he became increasingly panicked and tense up considerably – I have never seen him react to this extent during anesthesia before. The process of falling asleep lasted at least 15 minutes and was emotionally very stressful for both him and me. Other people present, including another client and staff members, also appeared visibly uncomfortable with the situation. I do not wish to criticize the recovery phase, as I am aware that dogs often react restlessly or noisily after short-acting anesthesia. However, I feel it is all the more important that the initial sleep phase is as calm and secure as possible. I understand that daily practice is challenging and that space may be limited. Nevertheless, I would like to see solutions considered for this sensitive situation that offer more peace and security for both animal and owner. For example, better screening of the waiting area, noise reduction measures, or playing calming music would be conceivable. My intention is to draw attention to a situation that was very stressful for us and to suggest making it less stressful for both people and animals in the future. I sincerely hope that my feedback will be received as a sincere and constructive suggestion. Sincerely,

Last year, my old cat became very ill. They did everything they could to help my senior cat, but sadly, she didn't make it. When I realized this, I called the veterinary practice to say it was probably time to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge to spare her any more suffering. They came within an hour, and I was able to be with my pet, which was very important to me. She passed away peacefully, our old lady, at 20 years old. I'm so glad I found such a wonderful practice; everyone is so kind, and they handle the animals with great sensitivity. I've been to a few vets, but none of them compare to Dr. Franz's practice. I will definitely go there again; everything is just perfect.

My dog had surgery with Dr. Franz yesterday. We were allowed to keep him with us until he fell asleep from the anesthesia. That was a very comforting feeling. I've been a patient of Dr. Franz's for a long time; he's a very competent veterinarian with a huge heart for animals. His team is also very, very nice. I've tried many veterinarians in my life, but for me, he's the best vet in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. There's no waiting time for appointments, and he's also available for his patients on Saturdays and Sundays. Many thanks to Dr. Franz and his lovely team; I'm so glad I found you.

I'm very satisfied with the vet. I had a minor emergency with our dog and was treated immediately (without an appointment). I was able to go back the next day (Sunday) and everything was fine again. All in all, I'm glad we can treat our animals there in the future.
