Reviews
Excellent care, quick help for our Doberman. At 12 years old, he has a slipped disc. We received very good advice, and he was helped quickly. Unfortunately, surgery is no longer an option due to his age. Thank you!!
I was very happy with my previous vet. She was also extremely knowledgeable about cats. When I switched vets, I looked for a new practice because unnecessary treatments were being suggested at exorbitant prices. They wanted both of my cats to have their teeth cleaned for €500 each. I immediately contacted two other vets who wouldn't put an older cat under anesthesia without a blood test first. Both offered teeth cleaning for €200-€240. My new vet determined that only my male cat needed teeth cleaning. My female cat (who was 17 at the time) didn't. I paid €238 for my male cat's teeth cleaning, during which two teeth were also extracted. Even the annual check-up is much more thorough and cheaper at other vets. I recommend everyone get a second opinion. So I saved €750.00... I'll accept the longer journey.
Thankfully, this practice is finally back in good hands! We've already taken our dog Runa there twice, and everything went perfectly. A fantastic and friendly team: from reception to the veterinary assistant to the veterinarian – everything is top-notch! You feel welcome and well-advised here!
Edit: I was emotional when I wrote this review, so I'm editing what was not appropriate to say. However, there was no clear communication. Several times I felt like teeth removal procedure was pushed to me since the first visits. Nothing about the diagnosis was explained and I left both confused and with a bitter taste in my mouth. In my experience with other vets, they explained things very clearly especially seeing when the owner is worried, but in this practice there's no vet I can trus, unfortunately. Now after visiting a dental specialist for animals I'm pretty sure that this clinic isn't even equipped to handle dental issues. Even the X-rays were unclear and had to be done again.
Since our old veterinary practice closed, we switched our animals to Dr. Grenzendörfer's veterinary practice in Haveleck. We feel very welcome and well-advised there. One of our two dogs loves going to the practice. The staff very gently persuade our second dog to get his vaccinations. Small but excellent practice, friendly team – highly recommended.
