Reviews
Unfortunately, the treatment by this doctor was extremely unsatisfactory. - Communication: The doctor speaks condescendingly and puts pressure on patients, which creates an unpleasant and humiliating feeling. - Professional competence: Not recommended, as services are billed for that were not provided. This appears dubious and demonstrates a lack of transparency. - Irresponsible prescribing: Medications are prescribed without adequately checking contraindications, which poses a significant health risk. Due to the unprofessional communication, questionable billing practices, and professional deficiencies, I strongly advise against visiting this practice. This type of practice is neither patient-focused nor trustworthy, and in an emergency situation, this is simply fatal.
We've been taking our cat Bounty to Dr. Chatzinikolaou for three years now and couldn't wish for a better veterinarian. When we were completely desperate, she gave us renewed support and genuine confidence. With her calm and warm manner, she not only provided us with top-notch professional care and helped Bounty in the long term, but was also an enormous support on a personal level. With her, you simply feel well cared for – understood, taken seriously, and given the best advice. Her expertise, patience, and genuine concern for animal welfare make her completely trustworthy. For us, she's become part of the "pet family." Highly recommended!
Disrespectful, crazy, and a rip-off!!! We went to this "veterinarian" because our dog had a painful paw (emergency). After looking at our dog for a mere 30 seconds, she suddenly claimed he had blocked anal glands. After the treatment, she demanded €450. Nothing further was discussed, and we left. By chance, our next appointment with our regular vet had to be rescheduled. When I called this "veterinarian," she was furious, claiming it wasn't her job to pass the information on and shouting "Huh?" several times instead of asking normal questions. After my tone became sharper, she suddenly claimed to be in an appointment and demanded the name of our actual veterinary practice. After I gave her the name, she shouted "Huh?" again and said she didn't know it... This "veterinarian" should have her license revoked! Our experience shows me that this woman is greedy, which the comments here also confirm.
What's wrong with these people who complain about the high prices for emergency veterinary care? Veterinarians are expensive, and of course, if Ms. Chatzinikolaou is available to help your pet at any time of day or night, then it naturally costs more! She always points out on the phone that it's double the standard rate! Furthermore, she doesn't immediately perform X-rays, ultrasounds, etc., like a "veterinary clinic" does. All those things that are ridiculously expensive and often simply don't make sense in some cases. If you go there on a Saturday or Sunday, and Ms. Chatzinikolaou relieves your pet's pain and tells you to either come back on Monday or go to your regular vet, you can't expect a miracle cure in 24 hours. She's not a miracle healer. Many things take time to heal, and sometimes the diagnosis is difficult! So please hold back a bit with your damaging comments! I've been taking my dog there for almost two years, and Kalle has had many very complicated problems, all of which have been treated perfectly. Yes, her way of speaking to you might seem a bit brusque at first, but she's clear and direct. Furthermore, she has the biggest heart for animals and is definitely not greedy. She seems to work every second to help her patients. Finally, I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm not a "friend" or "relative" of Ms. Chatzinikolaou, just a very satisfied customer who, after reading all the reviews, feels it's necessary to defend her! So, if you're looking for a veterinarian who is always honest, direct, warm, and very experienced and competent, then you can go to her with complete peace of mind!
