Reviews
We're on vacation. Unfortunately, our dog had some problems, but they were resolved quickly and easily here. If we didn't live almost exactly 987 km away, this would most likely be our trusted veterinary practice. Very friendly and competent.
Very professional, I have been in good hands with our family dog for almost 7 years with all our concerns and questions.
Thank you to Dr. Mertlitsch and his team for caring for our Honki for many years. She turned 15 years old.
Unfortunately, very disappointing. Aside from the fact that the veterinarian seemed to enjoy making fun of our second dog's (a Golden Retriever's) origins in my presence, even though she herself didn't even speak German properly. (My sense of decency prevented me from making fun of her in her presence, even though her poor German practically begged for laughter, and in almost fifty years of experience, I've NEVER had a veterinarian make fun of an animal's origins, so I refrained from embarrassing her.) I can't say which of the veterinarians in this practice I consulted. The one present was probably not entirely familiar with local customs. She didn't introduce herself, but she did know how to say hello. During the examination, she essentially just repeated what I had previously told her about the ailments of our beloved 14-year-old dog. What was truly reprehensible, however, was that she insisted on cutting the dog's nails even though I had pointed out twice that I do it regularly (I had only cut them four days prior). On the way home, I noticed that she had cut one nail too deeply, and it was bleeding quite heavily. But of course, she didn't forget to remind her colleague, when she was writing up the bill, to charge for the nail cutting. The colleague refused, because she was sure she had understood my objection. The one star is for the veterinary assistant, who seemed very competent, and the office was very clean. I won't even mention the drops that were recommended to me. We'll now continue taking our dogs the longer route to our usual vet. The shorter route isn't always better, at least not in this case...
A very competent and caring veterinarian. Thanks to her expertise, she was finally able to help our dog, who had suffered from persistent ear infections for years and had only received symptomatic treatment from several other vets. We would gladly go back again. 👍
