I've owned a Chihuahua for two and a half years. Due to a recent move, I was looking for a veterinarian in my area. The plan was to get him vaccinated, have his nails trimmed, and have his patella checked, as I suspected he might already be having problems there, since he keeps skipping one of his hind legs when walking. A Chihuahua is without a doubt the most uncooperative patient imaginable for a veterinarian. My dog and I were greeted warmly, and I immediately had a good feeling that I had finally found a veterinarian who wouldn't be bothered by a Chihuahua's diva-like behavior. ... For the first time, my dog barely resisted the vaccination or even noticed he was being vaccinated. For the first time, my dog had his nails properly trimmed (he tried to bite Dr. Palme several times, but she had him so well under control that we didn't need a muzzle). My dog wasn't immediately scheduled for surgery for patellar luxation; instead, he received medication for his joints (which is affordable for every dog owner!!!) so he can continue to enjoy walks. How wonderful is that?! ❤️🩹 I have never experienced such professional consultation and examination (patella, hip, and spine) as well as care for my Chihuahua. Dr. Palme and her team are absolutely experts in orthopedics, and you even learn a lot yourself. And the pricing policy will certainly interest every dog owner.
