We have been going to Dr. Demontis since shortly after she opened her practice. She and her team are absolutely wonderful! Dr. Demontis cares deeply. She takes her time and does what is needed to ensure our dogs receive the best treatment possible. (One of our dogs needed medication that isn’t readily available in Germany and therefore extremely expensive. She called vets in Italy trying to find the medication because she knew it was less costly there.) Her team - Jessica, Matina and Lisa are incredible as well. You can tell they all genuinely love animals and love what they do. I feel fortunate to have found them and look forward to continuing care with them for as long as we are here!!

This is not my regular vet, but I called this office after making the difficult decision to put my almost 15-year-old girl to sleep. She was quickly fading after not eating or drinking for 3 days and in kidney failure. The vet is in the same village where we live, and I had heard positive things. She agreed to see us and we were asked to drive to the office. We had been at the ER vet in Elversberg a few days before and that vet left a catheter in her for this very situation. I was emotional and having a hard time and focused on making sure my little Britney had a peaceful transition. Sadly, it was not. The vet administered the anesthetic, which should have completely sedated my pup. Then she immediately delivered the 2nd medication. Sone of the med did go through and my poor pet apparently tried to wake up. Her eyes opened and she was gasping for air. It was horrific. The vet asked me to lay my pup on the table and then informed us that she didn’t think the catheter was good. As a medical provider myself, one should make sure a catheter is patent and working before using it. Apparently this vet did not do that. I don’t feel her transition was peaceful and I have been and will always be guilt-ridden for doing that to her. I’m tormented by this and my 10-year-old daughter also witnessed all of this. They mentioned it could be a reflex but the anesthetic should have worked better. I regret ever taking her to this vet. To add insult to injury, my husband had informed the front desk that we weren’t submitting a vat form because we had the app. They ended up giving us an invoice that I didn’t review until I was home. It was not correctly formatted to Remenon standards so I asked for a revised invoice, which she refused to do. My other vet had no issue doing this for us. On the plus side, she did see us immediately on a Saturday and were kind, but my dog’s passing was not a peaceful event and they need to ensure a pet is truly sedated and catheters are working.

This is the place to go for your small animals. They genuinely care about your pets. They know them by name! They speak English, if needs be, and are very accommodating. I cant recommend them enough. Sandy loves the attention too ☺️
