Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We've been taking our dog to the practice for 6 years now, and today we found a stray cat and brought it to Schrobenhausen for an examination. The experience was, as always, simply fantastic! Dr. Bernhard was incredibly loving and warm in his interactions with the little kitten. The atmosphere in the practice is always very welcoming, and they take plenty of time to examine the animals thoroughly and patiently answer all our questions. We feel completely in good hands. I highly recommend this veterinary practice! Thank you for the excellent care!
We had to visit the veterinary practice spontaneously during a very emotionally stressful situation. After a hospital stay abroad, we came home to find our 21-year-old cat lying on the floor, panting and clearly struggling to breathe. We drove there immediately – without a carrier, without any preparation – because it was perfectly clear that she was suffering acutely and every second counted. The vet acted immediately. Kira was treated with incredible care, calmness, and professionalism. You could tell he was experienced and that he was truly trying to help in that moment. He suspected a stroke and advised us to euthanize her due to her obvious suffering. This decision broke our hearts. Kira had been a beloved member of the family and a loyal companion for 21 years. Letting her suffer was out of the question for us. We are incredibly grateful to the vet for his respectful and dignified handling of our situation. However, what deeply shocked us and, frankly, made us a little angry, was the bill. We are deeply grateful for the help and don't want to spare any expense, in any way. But the bill truly shocked us. A surcharge was added for an "urgent service due to disruption in the practice's operations"—and this surcharge was higher than the actual cost of the euthanasia. Emotionally, this is almost incomprehensible to us. We were standing in the practice with an animal that was acutely dying. Were we seriously supposed to say, "Kira, please stop suffering, we need to schedule an appointment first"? Especially in such an exceptional situation, we expect compassion, transparency, and sensitivity—including when it comes to costs. Unfortunately, this additional charge feels wrong to us and leaves a very bitter aftertaste, even though the medical and human care during the procedure itself was excellent.
