Reviews
I've taken my cats to this veterinary practice several times and would choose a different one in the future. The deciding factor was the communication surrounding my cat's spaying. The practice routinely prescribes a rigid plastic Elizabethan collar for 10 days, with the instruction not to remove it under any circumstances. I asked about alternatives (e.g., a soft collar or other protective options) and, after doing my own research, opted for a different solution. I closely monitored my cat, and the wound healed without any problems. Unfortunately, I found the response to this to be very unengaging and at times even patronizing. My questions were ignored. I would have appreciated a more open and honest conversation.
After a diagnosis of a pet allergy, which we were aware of, long-term treatment with a cortisone injection was recommended. The fact that our cat was 15 years old was simply ignored. After the first injection, our cat was doing much better; the second cortisone injection was already too much; he was urinating everywhere. At the third visit on November 5, 2025, we explained that our cat had deteriorated and lost so much weight, but Mr. Krause didn't respond. The cat was weighed and we were told he had actually gained weight. So we trusted the vet, and he administered the third cortisone injection. When we got home, our cat collapsed, couldn't walk, couldn't keep anything down, and was peeing everywhere! We then weighed our cat again, and it turned out that he had lost a lot of weight. On September 11, 2025, our cat died of kidney and liver failure. He could have lived a few more years if my cat had been treated properly.
I've been seeing Mr. Krause for several years, previously with my cat and now with my two dogs. He is the kindest veterinarian I've ever met. You can tell how much he loves every animal, and my dogs are crazy about him, too. His prices are extremely reasonable, and you feel really comfortable with him. I would like to thank you and your team very much, and I always look forward to our visits.
Only one star because you have to give at least one star. My cat would still be alive if he had correctly diagnosed the kidney failure months ago. Instead, she just kept getting injections and anti-nausea medication. Not recommended at all!!!!! My cat will never see this vet again.
