The cynicism and avoidance tactics one experiences on the nighttime emergency hotline of this "clinic" are so unbelievable it's almost incomprehensible. After our dog's condition worsened throughout the day, we desperately called the hotline twice on March 3, 2026, reporting shortness of breath, weakness, restlessness, and cold paws. The on-call vet's response: "If the dog can still walk, it's not an emergency; just come by tomorrow morning." We still wanted to come in so they could at least examine the animal. "And then I won't be able to tell you anything different than my colleague already did this morning. And then call me again in two hours." (!) We therefore wanted a more thorough diagnosis. "Do you even know how much that costs and what kind of equipment you're setting in motion? I certainly wouldn't do that to my dog." We then went to a proper 24/7 clinic in Stuttgart, one that truly lived up to its name. The initial reaction upon arrival was: "This animal is in very bad shape; we'll see her immediately." Twenty minutes later, the diagnosis was pericardial effusion (a life-threatening accumulation of fluid in the heart sac). They drained it immediately, and the dog's condition improved instantly. This meant that, at least the next day, after the diagnosis of a heart tumor, we could say goodbye to our pain-free dog in peace, without regretting not having helped her at the end of her life. Had we followed the advice of the veterinarian at the Reiff clinic, our dog would have died in agony from circulatory collapse during the night. Why even become a veterinarian if you can't be bothered to spend five minutes examining an animal just to ensure it doesn't suffer unnecessarily?

I took my dog to the vet. She had an x-ray and was given painkillers. Her condition worsened. I then called the emergency clinic. They just told me, in a rather irritated tone, that if she wasn't dying, I should come back the next morning. So I went to another vet. The following day, she had to be euthanized. I'm writing on behalf of the dog's owner, who is currently unable to write. Everyone can now decide for themselves whether to go to this clinic... if I could give zero stars, I would have.

Thankfully, such a clinic still exists! Wonderful, empathetic doctors took excellent care of our cat and gave us outstanding advice! Our cat was suspected of having a cruciate ligament tear, and we urgently needed a CT scan, which our vet recommended. Despite the very late appointment, the doctors took wonderful care of us and were truly very empathetic and kind! A definite recommendation! We are so grateful that such a clinic exists!

Many thanks to the clinic team! Our severely lame young dog had successful surgery here. A significant difference in his gait was noticeable immediately after the operation. He is visibly better (without painkillers). We are very glad we chose this clinic. Even the way our sometimes hyperactive Labrador was handled was appropriate and professional. Absolutely a top-notch surgical center! We came on the recommendation of a veterinarian who had his own dog operated on there. That speaks for itself. P.S.: We were initially a bit hesitant because of some of the reviews. However, it's understandable that you have to pay for the service. I don't think it's fair to base negative reviews on that, given the truly excellent work. The price-performance ratio is reasonable and not at all excessive compared to other clinics.
