Our 17.5-year-old Max had a dental surgery there on October 8th. Despite his heart disease, kidney disease, and high blood pressure, the surgery went very well—knock on wood. Thank you to Dr. Jan Klasen 😺😻 We deliberately chose this dental clinic because they take the anesthesia risks of older animals into account. I highly recommend this dental clinic 👍 What I didn't like so much was that my Max is blind and has a heart condition, and I had asked in advance that they wouldn't make him wait too long in the crate because he gets too agitated, and I was promised that this would be taken into account. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We dropped him off at 8:15 a.m., and he had to wait over two hours for his turn. Max and I didn't like that, and my husband and I were a bit disappointed. Otherwise, Max survived the dental surgery well, and that, of course, makes us happy, and so does Maxchen 😻

After a completely botched "treatment" of our former stray cat Hexel's ear canals at another veterinary clinic, and the urgent need for further treatment, I called the veterinary clinic and got an appointment for the next day. Dr. A. K. took care of the matter calmly and professionally. That immediately established the trust we needed. Then we got a short-notice CT scan and an initial rough assessment of the situation. As agreed, Dr. A. K. called a few days later after a thorough medical evaluation and scheduled an immediate surgery date, as the ear canal had to be removed. The surgery went well, and we were able to pick up the cat the following day. Unfortunately, Hexel refused to take any medication, so we called the GER veterinary clinic again. We took her back there immediately, where she received excellent medical care for the next five days. You can even call and inquire about the patients' well-being without anyone getting annoyed. After the necessary several days of confinement—essentially the maximum punishment—she was allowed outside again and seems to be coping quite well with the new situation. She even seems somewhat grateful that the pain in her ear canal is gone. Despite her age, she's back to romping around both indoors and outdoors. The staff at the veterinary clinic make a truly competent and friendly impression overall, and the facilities are bright and modern.

I was looking for a clinic that was easily accessible from Mannheim. Unfortunately, my overall impression wasn't very good. Yes, the veterinary assistants were very friendly and professional, I got an appointment quickly and didn't have to wait long. The building is modern and clean. The very young veterinarian seemed inexperienced, didn't know the side effects of Apoquel, didn't ask why the dog had been given it, and recommended a vaccination even though I was there because of a chest ulcer and a false pregnancy. Upon inquiry, I learned that they don't use propofol for anesthesia and, more importantly, that they currently can't perform endoscopic spaying because the only staff member who can is pregnant. That's simply not acceptable these days. On top of that, they charged me a hygiene surcharge of €2.87, and I'm wondering what it's for. My dog was weighed, placed on the examination table by me, and then taken down again. She lost a few hairs, and then they charged extra for hygiene! These are hidden costs that are unacceptable. I recommend calling ahead to ask about the services included. I almost never write bad reviews, but this was incredibly frustrating.

Over the weekend, we had to take our dog to the veterinary clinic unexpectedly, and he underwent emergency surgery. Despite the very stressful and emotional situation, the entire team reacted incredibly quickly, professionally, and, above all, warmly. From the very beginning, we felt we were in excellent hands and that our concerns were taken seriously. Everything was explained clearly, and it was evident that the animals' well-being was their top priority. A very special thank you goes to the veterinarian who operated on our dog. Although she wasn't on regular duty that day, she came in to perform the surgery. While we unfortunately didn't get to meet her in person, we are deeply grateful for her dedication and assistance. Many thanks to the entire team for their wonderful support and outstanding work!
