Reviews
Very friendly to people and, above all, loving towards animals, providing quick and professional help. Absolutely wonderful and highly recommended.
I took my cat to Dr. Becic today, and he did everything he could for her. The team and Dr. Becic were wonderfully empathetic and professional in their handling of both animals and people. Keep up the great work! 🥲
Thank you so much for your professional and customer-focused service. Mr. Becic is a very competent and empathetic veterinarian. We felt we were in excellent hands. Thank you so much!
We took our seriously ill gerbil, Momo, to the emergency veterinary clinic and were shocked and disappointed afterward. We had a bad feeling as soon as we entered the clinic. Animal hair was scattered around the examination room, and there were visible bloodstains on the floor. Overall, the environment didn't strike us as particularly clean or professional. Communicating with the veterinarian was difficult because he had limited German skills. Especially in an emergency situation, when you're worried about your pet, we would have appreciated clear and understandable communication. The way our gerbil was handled was particularly distressing. Momo was already extremely weak at that point, barely reacting to food, water, or touch, and was clearly in critical condition. Despite this, we constantly had the impression that he was being handled very roughly. It was hard to watch. Initially, an eye infection was diagnosed. However, after the veterinarian wiped away some discharge from the eye, this diagnosis was changed. Subsequently, without any further examination that we could understand, the vet suggested that we might have digestive problems. We received no more detailed explanation of how this diagnosis was reached. We found the weight check particularly irritating. The vet first asked us our gerbil's weight, to which we replied that Momo had weighed 42 grams the previous day. He then placed him on a scale that apparently only displayed kilograms with two decimal places. In our opinion, this made it impossible to obtain a meaningful weight for an animal weighing approximately 42 grams. The administration of the medication also seemed unprofessional. First, Momo was supposed to be given water, which proved nearly impossible. Then the vet attempted to administer medication for digestive problems, explaining that the dosage was difficult due to Momo's low weight. Several attempts failed because the liquid ran down the syringe. At one point, he even tried to hold Momo against a drop that had run down the outside of the syringe. Only after several attempts was he able to administer a small drop. In addition, Momo received a painkiller injection. It didn't seem to us that there was a clear understanding of whether and what benefit this treatment would still have in his condition. The entire process left us with the impression of great uncertainty and a lack of routine. Organizationally, much also seemed chaotic. The invoice couldn't be printed initially because the employee apparently couldn't get the printer to work. When asked, she explained that the practice had only been open for two days and therefore not everything was working yet. We also got the impression that the card reader wasn't yet fully operational. Ultimately, we had to have the invoice sent to us by email. We were charged €130 for this treatment. Considering the extent of the examination, the difficult communication, and the overall impression the practice made on us, we feel this amount is unjustified. We are particularly saddened that we sought emergency service in a situation where we were desperately seeking help for a seriously ill animal. Instead of leaving with confidence and a sense of security, we left the practice feeling that the treatment was poorly structured and that our pet hadn't received the care we had hoped for. Unfortunately, our personal impression was that the practice hasn't yet reached the organizational and professional standards one would expect from an emergency veterinary service.
Very disappointed, our cat had broken his leg and his bone had come out of his leg, they performed an Xray and referred to another veterinarian. When we were at the other veterinarian, they were surprised that this initial veterinarian had not disinfected and bandaged the wound or performed an X-ray on his torso to check for internal bleeding - this would have decreased our cat’s risk of infection. The second veterinarian received inaccurate information from this initial veterinarian which said that a bandage was applied - it was not and, from this information, it was clear that they knew they should have but did not. Whilst the X-ray was being performed, we could hear our cat screaming from the other room, this is very uncharacteristic of our cat and clearly indicates something was going wrong. When we were in the Xray room after it had been performed, our cat’s fur and blood was all over the table - very distressing to see. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this veterinarian. The staff were friendly but not professional enough to deal with our cat properly.
