I give him 5 stars, 10 if I could! No matter what people write here, he's direct, honest, and does a great job. Of course, he comes across as a bit unempathetic to "laypeople," but he has to be! He's a doctor, not the best friend of the animals he's helping to take the first step across the Rainbow Bridge! Those one-star reviewers need to understand that! I'm a nurse (my brother) and I know what I'm talking about! If I took every animal's story home with me, I'd definitely have burnout after almost 10 years in this job! And when he says that animals aren't right for certain people, he's right. Not everyone who has pets is an animal lover or knows anything about them. In short: I was impressed by his confident and direct manner. Probably because I'm the same way, and that's very important in our line of work! Can't you grasp that?! Keep up the good work, Doc! If I took every animal's fate home with me, I'd definitely have burnout after almost 10 years in this job! And to everyone else... put yourselves in his shoes. Of course you're grieving, but giving injections that lead to Valhalla is definitely NOT his favorite thing to do. THANK YOU that my dog no longer has to suffer, after the vet, who had known my pet for 11 years and couldn't make any money off him because he was NEVER sick, gave him three injections last week and gave me various medications, only to tell me that she's going on vacation for two weeks. I then shelled out 250 bucks to finally send him on his way today! This should have happened last week! So, thanks for nothing to my vet in the sticks! And again... Thank you, Doc... for the quick and uncomplicated relief!

One star is too much for this person. We entrusted our horse to acquaintances due to personal reasons, and shortly afterward, it became ill. This is how we came into contact with this "veterinarian." Our acquaintances, and we who were helping out, were supposed to observe the sick horse for several days, only to be told on the fourth day, when the horse was clearly suffering, that it wouldn't be going out that day, that our acquaintances had no idea about animals, and that a horse shouldn't be kept there at all. I can't confirm this at all; our acquaintances have been successfully keeping horses for years. If we had been told this in time, we would have taken the horse to a clinic. Now, the poor horse will have to be euthanized tomorrow.

Vet Hoba doesn't necessarily win sympathy points, but he's always there for the animal! He even makes time for your pet on Sundays or public holidays. He is honest and direct. He told me the same thing with my 16-year-old dog at the time that it no longer made sense. And he was right. Of course they could have dragged it out with vitamins etc. and he could have made a lot of money, but she would have died at that age anyway. And it helped me a lot when he said to me: "I think that's enough," so she didn't have to suffer any longer. Other vets in Parchim still want to make a lot of money and treat patients even though it's clear that it's pointless. The same went for my tomcat, whom I didn't have neutered in time and one Sunday it was so bad that he neutered him the same day. Without charging extra. Simply because the animal was suffering and so was I. Let everyone say what they want, this person acts out of love for animals and not like Dr. Me… out of profit…
