Really expensive compared to other vets, but the service / treatment is good and the opening hours are longer than most.

I've been taking my cats to AniCura Small Animal Specialists for many years and am very satisfied. The entire team works in a structured and professional manner, demonstrating great empathy. All the veterinarians do an excellent job. I would particularly like to mention Ms. Helmlinger; I found her dedicated and meticulous approach to be especially positive. You feel you're in good hands here.

I wouldn't recommend it. I went to the vet twice because my cat had knee pain, and they said it was nothing and would go away on its own. That wasn't true, and for two months she couldn't jump or play properly. Then I went to a different vet, and they knew immediately what was wrong with the cat: there was very little fluid in her knee, and she couldn't straighten her leg properly.

Summary: Friendly, bright, trustworthy, approachable Long version: We visited AniCura in Karlsruhe about a month ago, having been referred by the Weingarten practice to have a heart murmur checked. Thankfully, it turned out to be nothing more than a minor anomaly of the muscle that secures a heart clamp. Location: The practice itself feels quite bright and a bit more clinical than the Weingarten practice, but still bright and welcoming. General staff: All the staff members we interacted with or witnessed were friendly and, from what we overheard even in casual conversations, they readily took the time to answer pet owners' questions and went the extra mile to ensure the information was fully understood. The treatment / veterinarian + assistant: I have absolutely no complaints here; on the contrary, both were incredibly kind and accommodating, whether dealing with four-legged or two-legged clients. Before the heart ultrasound, the little one was given a general check-up, palpated, listened to, and so on. Then, she was handled firmly but gently, laid down, and given a "sexy" new haircut. The doctor had an open and engaging conversation with us; she approached us, took out a heart model, and explained exactly what was happening, what it meant, and how, thanks to this discussion and a small brochure, we could recognize early symptoms in the future. In conclusion: From our experience, whether in Weingarten or at the clinic in the city center, the people who work there demonstrate and convey warmth, expertise, and a sense of security. :)
