Reviews
Never again. The incompetence and ultimately catastrophic handling of the situation cost our little one her life two months ago. The veterinary clinic in Heidelberg couldn't do anything more and had to euthanize her. If a new vet can't recognize an advanced mammary tumor, and the surgeon, whom we've never even met, supposedly has no clue either, and the little one is treated like a guinea pig for weeks until she's emaciated and severely anemic due to a lack of competence, then that's a failing grade – sorry.
We brought our cat in as an emergency. Due to space constraints, we were taken to a room in the basement that desperately needs a complete overhaul. The vet was rude (no greeting, no explanation of why she wanted to perform certain tests) and showed absolutely no empathy for us or our cat. She couldn't care less about our cat's suffering. It quickly became clear that she was only interested in making money. She had no idea what might be wrong and wanted to blindly start with every possible test the clinic had available. She completely ignored previous findings from our regular vet until we brought it up directly. Then she explained that our cat was most likely having an overreaction to the administered cortisol and that she wanted to test everything, even though the cortisol was skewing the results. If everything came back negative, it was the cortisol, she said. She didn't consider the cat's condition to be alarming. So we left and thankfully sought help elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable!
I've had only positive experiences at Anicura in Wiesloch! The staff are very friendly and competent. There can be waiting times, especially if you drop by on short notice. If you've made an appointment, the waiting times are usually quite short. I highly recommend them!
Good clinic. Very polite staff.
We took our dog Helen to the Wiesloch Veterinary Clinic for an MRI and a cerebrospinal fluid analysis, and I can only say: I have never experienced such outstanding veterinary care before. I would especially like to commend Mr. von der Bey. From the moment we greeted him, his great empathy and love for animals were evident – his first attention was focused on Helen, and that's exactly how it should have been. From the very first moment, we felt taken seriously and in excellent hands. Mr. von der Bey dedicated an extraordinary amount of time to us. Without any time pressure, we were able to ask all the questions we had. He explained everything clearly, thoroughly, and with a calmness that was incredibly helpful to us in a very emotionally stressful situation. You immediately sense his high level of expertise and his particular passion for neurology. We were especially impressed by the thorough neurological examination and the comprehensive consultation. After having had rather disappointing experiences at another clinic and being referred relatively quickly for further diagnostic testing with a suspected brain tumor, the difference here was enormous. It wasn't just an examination – they listened, asked questions, explained everything, and truly catered to our dog's individual needs. The entire clinic team deserves high praise. I would especially like to commend Vanessa, whose friendly and warm manner left a lasting positive impression. She took the time to answer our questions, explained everything clearly, and always made us feel that Helen was in the best possible hands. She explained precisely what could happen during the different stages of recovery, addressed our concerns, and always made us feel we were in the best possible care. Of course, MRIs and cerebrospinal fluid analyses are not inexpensive. But when you experience this level of care, where medical expertise, compassion, empathy, and communication come together so perfectly, you know you made the right decision. For us, it was an absolutely outstanding experience. We are deeply grateful to Mr. von der Bey, Vanessa, and the entire team at the Wiesloch Veterinary Clinic and can wholeheartedly recommend this clinic. Thank you so much for the wonderful care Helen received!
