I took my cat Grisú there for neutering and microchipping. I had made the appointment in advance by phone. On the big day, I was pleased to see that you could park on the left side of the building. I received a friendly welcome, a pick-up time was agreed upon, and everything went smoothly. The cat slept for about six hours at home and then thought everything was back to normal. I've had cats at other vets who only used three potties for three days after a cat surgery—so fantastic! I'll be back.
Excellent veterinarian. Friendly. You can get an appointment relatively quickly. Prices are reasonable. The parking lot is very cramped with only three spaces. The spaces are too narrow to maneuver. They really only fit two vehicles. But locals are already aware of this, so almost everyone comes on foot.
We had an emergency with our Chihuahua; we thought her intestines were protruding. "Go to the animal hospital," they said, but we don't have a car. "Take a taxi"... thanks, it's free. She was also incredibly unfriendly and completely incompetent. Our vet told us that she should have at least examined the dog to determine the next steps. She was the emergency contact. If you love your pet... please go somewhere else.
This was our second visit to Dr. Schnabel's practice. Previously, we often had difficulties with our anxious dog at other veterinarians. It felt like running the gauntlet, from loud barking to completely refusing contact with "strangers"—every single visit was stressful. With Dr. Schnabel, however, our dog relaxes as soon as she arrives in the waiting area. She has never barked or caused any problems on the examination table. During our first visit, I thought, "That's probably just the demonstration effect." But during our second visit, our dog was quite relaxed again. This clearly shows that it's thanks to Dr. Schnabel that our dog feels so comfortable there! All our questions were also answered thoroughly and clearly. Dr. Schnabel takes her time and has a truly calming presence; we feel very well cared for and can wholeheartedly recommend the practice.
