Reviews
This review is long overdue. Dr. Heller, his wife, and his colleague are incredibly kind people. Besides being able to get an appointment quickly and always listening, Dr. Heller is always very respectful towards both the animals and their owners. Last year, we had to have two of our cats euthanized in quick succession. The entire team gave my fiancé and me all the time we needed. There was no pressure. Our first cat left us due to a tissue tumor. She was 16 years old, and it was important to me to avoid any unnecessary surgery. Dr. Heller immediately agreed with me without any need for persuasion or anything else. The cat shouldn't have to endure any more stress than she already did. When the day came that her skin ruptured, we went straight to the clinic and were taken to a separate room so that the other owners wouldn't immediately know what was happening. With our cat, who died shortly afterward, there was likely a seizure one night, which is why his entire eye was full of blood. Even in this case, we were able to go straight to the vet. No fuss about why we hadn't called or anything like that. When this cat was later euthanized, we were given the time we needed again. Dr. Heller and his team accommodate the owners' wishes (as far as possible and in the animal's best interest). The animals are examined and petted with great respect and tenderness. Our current cat has a tumor in his nose, and we were immediately referred to the veterinary clinic in Gelnhausen for possible surgery (just before Dr. Heller's last vacation; we would have preferred to have him perform the operation). After these examinations, I returned to Dr. Heller with complete confidence because we feel we are in good hands there. His wife and his colleague at reception are both very considerate and know what they are doing. I have no qualms about going to Dr. Heller. I'm not driving to Heller because I'm worried about my animals, but I'm incredibly happy and grateful that such excellent veterinary practices still exist in our area. We've experienced a lot of suffering over the past two years and have received so much consideration and support from this team. That's rare in veterinary practices (in my experience). I wish this team all the best and hope we can continue to work together for many years to come.
August 23, 2024 Mr. Heller, Today I lost my partner of seven years, my daughter, my companion, my Lucy, who was invaluable to me. Last night I watched her play, and this morning I watched her die before my eyes. I would have given my life to save hers, but I couldn't. Mr. Heller, in the past four weeks, I have brought Lucy to your practice twice, and each time I mentioned that she was having difficulty breathing. I wish you had performed a more comprehensive examination, exhausted all options. Today we came to you because of an infection or virus, and after the two injections you administered, her condition worsened. I suspect her heart or lungs couldn't handle it. Please don't misunderstand me, we come to you because we do everything we can to keep our beloved animals alive. We endure financial and emotional hardship to do so. But I'm sure I wouldn't be experiencing this deep pain today if Lucy had been examined more thoroughly in time. Even though I have no expertise in feline health, I sensed that something was wrong with her breathing and heart, and I tried to explain this to you every time. At the last visit, you said she had mild asthma, but you neither treated her nor prescribed medication. Now I've lost her because of these problems, and I'm suffering unbearable pain. I implore you to conduct your examinations more comprehensively, in detail, and carefully. There are many conditions that you can't detect with a superficial examination. Lucy was special, like any special animal, but I didn't just love her, I adored her. I wasn't an ordinary cat owner. Best regards, Agtas. August 25, 2024 Today is Sunday, and I'm still deeply grieving over the loss of my beloved cat Lucy. I have never felt so much regret in my life. I wish I hadn't brought my cat Lucy to you so often. You are a veterinarian and should have diagnosed her illnesses; that was your job. Instead, you only gave her a cursory examination and then sent us home. Now I ask you: Why and from what illnesses did my cat die? When we brought her to you on Friday, she was already very ill—perhaps she had a kidney problem, perhaps a lung problem, perhaps a heart problem, or another serious illness. But you only determined that she had an infection and gave her two injections, the contents of which are unknown to me. My cat worsened in the car and died in my arms at home in great agony. Why didn't you diagnose her illness earlier? Why didn't these injections help, but instead caused her death? What illness was worsened by the injections? Please answer these questions! Every time I brought my cat to you, I explained over and over again that she was having trouble breathing, but because you didn't conduct a thorough examination, my cat is no longer with me today, and my heart burns with pain. I sincerely hope you experience the same pain. Cursed be the day I met you.
