Dr. Backhus Ralf

We've been taking our dog and cat to this practice for years and are completely satisfied. Ralf is always friendly, competent, and takes his time with each animal. We particularly appreciate his calm manner when dealing with anxious animals and his clear, understandable advice. Even in emergencies, we could always rely on prompt assistance. A veterinary practice with heart and understanding – highly recommended!

I can highly recommend this practice to everyone because Dr. Ralf Backhus is a very good veterinarian with great sensitivity and expertise. You can get an appointment quickly and know your animals are in good hands. ☺️

Well... I absolutely cannot confirm that he's unreachable. Dr. Backhus has been there for us for 10 years! Even on weekends! He's a super competent veterinarian who always has a sympathetic ear for all our problems and always leaves us feeling reassured (after receiving good advice and support).

We've only recently started taking our two Irish Wolfhounds to Ralf for treatment. Our dogs have never been so relaxed during a treatment before. Ralf is competent and takes plenty of time for both the pet owners' questions and the animals. We highly recommend his practice.

Unfortunately, I was unable to reach Dr. Backhus. For almost a week and a half, I called the listed number daily and couldn't get through. There was a sign at the practice with the listed number, another number, and the message: "Consultation hours by appointment only" (possibly not quoted correctly). I couldn't reach anyone at the second number either. After a few days, the line was permanently displayed as "busy." There's no voicemail for either number, and since there's no website or email address, I still had no way to contact Dr. Backhus. I didn't receive a call back. If the practice is closed for vacation, it's not obvious. What a shame!
