Reviews
A very good vet who has always helped my dog and cats. Above all, clear treatment and advice; he tries to avoid unnecessary costs. That's very commendable 😃
I am not a patient of this practice, but I called in an emergency on Sunday night/Monday morning. The first thing I was told was how dare I call at 2 a.m. (if this practice is on call). I then explained my situation: my mother, who has dementia, had accidentally given her two cats (both over 12 years old) sodium carbonate instead of psyllium husk (without her glasses). I was then very rudely told how something like that could happen at such a late hour. I would like to apologize again for the late call. In the future, I will schedule all my emergencies for times that you supposedly find more convenient. After that, I was simply told not to come in, as the cats would either die or survive, and there was nothing he could do. I was left to my own devices by the vet in this situation (according to Google, there is something that could be given to protect the stomach acid). So I called the poison control center in Munich, and they immediately pointed out that they don't have much experience with cats, but in the few cases they've had, something for the stomach has been the best solution. Despite the heavy snow warning and the danger to life and limb, I then drove to the animal hospital in Nuremberg. Best decision ever! They gave my two cats a stomach medication, and I'd even say they saved their lives. I would definitely go to the animal hospital before calling here again; I understand we're all only human. But personally, I think that if I'm spending almost €200 per cat on an emergency like this, it's worth getting up at 2 a.m. when it's a matter of life and death. That's just my personal opinion. Generally speaking, I can't say anything bad about the practice itself; in this case, it's just this particular vet I won't be going back to.
We were there with our cat. The service was seamless. Very empathetic. No unnecessary frills. Plenty of parking available.
