I had my dog spayed by Dr. Herz. I can highly recommend her veterinary practice. You feel well cared for and advised, and the animals are treated professionally and lovingly. Two thumbs up for this veterinary practice!!!
Since my vet was on vacation, I contacted Dr. Großklaus well before 10 p.m. on a weekday. She came to see my heavily pregnant mare, who had developed her first bout of laminitis. Dr. Großklaus took her pulse, gave me an anti-inflammatory, and recommended treatment with crushed ice from a gas station, which I administered myself. Without any indication, she suggested that she suspected the foal had died in the womb and triggered a toxic laminitis attack. Spoiler alert: this wasn't the case, and seven days later the very healthy foal was born. The entire treatment took less than 20 minutes. The journey was less than 30 kilometers. The bill now amounts to 650 euros, calculated at three times the standard veterinary fee schedule (GOT), without any explanation. Added to this was the callous and incorrect assumption that the foal must have died. In conclusion: The laminitis attack was unfortunately a real event, the foal is alive, and 650 euros is a slap in the face. I am a psychotherapist and would, or rather, would be allowed to, in an emergency... In the case of a suicidal crisis, no fee code should be charged double or triple. So much for the proportionality of the German Veterinary Fee Schedule (GOT) and its users. Therefore, it's always best to ask whether triple or even quadruple the rate will be charged. Cooling hooves, for example, doesn't have to cost more than 600 euros.
Top vet! I had my poodle mix spayed by her. Very competent and loving with the animals, and the price is fair. Highly recommended! 🩷
We have been going there for many years, now with our fourth and fifth cats, and we are in very good hands. Dr. Großklaus has saved our furry little ones' lives more than once, was always available by phone and in person during emergencies, and always fought for us until the very end.
Great practice. Highly competent professionally.
