Excellent veterinarian, we were there for the first time today. We are completely satisfied; she is a competent and friendly vet who understands how to handle parrots. Our Emma is very particular and difficult, but Ms. Sander had everything under control and helped Emma right away. She identified the problem, something other vets couldn't do for over a year. We hope our bird 🐦 will feel better soon; the next appointment will surely be more cheerful for Emma. It will probably just be a follow-up examination. Update: Emma is already doing much better 💝. Today is Thursday, so after almost 6 days, she looks really good, almost healthy 😊. The medication is working wonderfully, and Emma is already singing proper operas à la Bocelli again. We are still waiting for news from the lab, but if nothing comes back, then everything is perfect. Then the follow-up examination is the week after next. Thanks for reading 😗

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Inken Sander. Budgie and bird owners, in particular, are in excellent hands with her. She is a truly knowledgeable avian veterinarian who takes her time, conducts thorough examinations, and doesn't simply make assumptions. You immediately notice her extensive expertise in the field of birds. Examinations are carried out meticulously, and you get the feeling that she knows exactly what's important. Questions are answered clearly, and you feel that your pet is truly being taken seriously. Especially for budgies, where many veterinarians have limited experience, Dr. Sander is my first choice. I took my two budgies, Emma and Fiete, there for their first check-up earlier this week and was immediately impressed. Excellent!

I highly recommend this vet to anyone who loves and cherishes their feathered friends. One weekend (Saturday), I had a problem with my cockatiel, Taubsi. He started gagging and was very weak. A visit to another vet, who only treated him with antibiotics, unfortunately didn't improve his condition. I thought he was going to die any minute, but I kept him warm in a box and tried to force-feed him, which, of course, isn't easy with a spoon. On Sunday morning, his condition hadn't improved. By chance, and in my desperation, I discovered Dr. Sander's practice. The practice is 50 km away, but it was worth it for my Taubsi. I called her private number (the mobile number listed on her website) and explained my problem. I was able to come in immediately on Sunday at 11 a.m. as an emergency. She examined him and didn't make any empty promises. She honestly said that his condition looked bad and she didn't know if he would survive. Since I was already prepared for the worst, I didn't hold out much hope and admitted him to the veterinary clinic. Ms. Sander gave him IV fluids and cared for him intensively for almost six days. From X-rays and crop swabs to force-feeding, everything was done to thoroughly examine him and keep him alive. On Friday, I was finally able to pick him up. He's completely back to his old self: flying, chirping, and eating. No one who saw him in his condition would have thought he would survive, so I am incredibly grateful to Ms. Sander for saving his life! The costs for the five-day hospital stay were also much lower than expected. There are very few veterinarians who treat animals with as much expertise, patience, and love as Ms. Sander. I hope she can continue practicing for many years to come and pass on her knowledge to younger (avian) veterinarians. Thank you again!

Great vet! You can tell she really cares about the animals. I took my diamond firetail there. She had broken her leg. Dr. Sander did everything she could, but in the end, she had to amputate the leg. We've rearranged the aviary a bit, and my little bird is doing quite well with the stubby leg. Thank you!
