A good vet, but not very talkative. I've never spent so much money at the vet. There was no bill either; I get the feeling they're just out to make money. Our dog had a high fever, and we ended up paying over €1000, and they couldn't even give us a proper diagnosis. They only offered further tests and cash. 😐
My dog had apparently gotten into a fight with a raccoon and lost. The fur on his lower jaw was torn off. Dr. Kästner treated this injury with 26 stitches. The wound treatment went extremely well. Thank you.
My cat Ruby was hit by a car. Dr. Kästner was still available to care for my cat even after 8 p.m. Unfortunately, Ruby could only be put down, but Dr. Kästner gave me time to say goodbye to my cat. He was very kind and compassionate.
We, two elderly people, have been to the doctors in Harzgerode and Hasselfelde a few months ago. The doctor in Harzgerode could be recommended, if it weren't for the exorbitant charges. Just an injection!! But the bill includes a follow-up examination for the same case, €25.66 + VAT. Every time, and nothing is done. They say it's allowed. It's just a rip-off. And he, the boss, is incredibly arrogant. My wife, an elderly person with back problems, went to the doctor in Hasselfelde for treatment. She had to lift her 26 kg dog onto the table by herself. The diagnosis was made from a height of one meter, the dog's temperature was taken, and then she was allowed to put the dog down again. Of course, without any help. Then another one-meter-high diagnosis, and she had to lift the dog back onto the table. She received an injection and then had to lift it down again... by herself. He stood next to her and grinned. And again, an exorbitant bill! Never again will we see this doctor. Arrogant, haughty, and very unfriendly!! We'd rather drive 50 km. But these are just our experiences!
