Reviews
Our beloved cat has been cared for here for over 11 years. Several accidents and health issues have always been correctly assessed – we were listened to and the right action was taken. We feel very well cared for and supported, so we haven't even considered switching practices. The staff has changed over the years, but they are all friendly, competent, and approachable. Update: After the recent examinations/procedures, we are now struggling to come to terms with the incredibly high costs. Despite price increases, every pet owner should be able to afford adequate care for their beloved pet. That must be difficult… Once again: We're staying! After the response and the subsequent personal conversation, which was both professional and friendly, we understand the pricing. Even though it's difficult, we believe that Ms. Blankenburg provides the best care for our furry friend.
For me, this is a fantastic veterinary practice. Both the vet and her assistants are highly knowledgeable and work seamlessly together as a well-coordinated team, which is invaluable, especially in emergencies. They don't just treat symptoms, but also get to the root cause, which is very important to me personally. The advice is excellent, and they will refer you to a specialist clinic if necessary. The practice is equipped with a wide range of modern equipment. I always feel perfectly cared for, advised, and treated by my animals. Please keep up the great work!
It's wonderful to see the practice's continued development, especially since it's not at the expense of the patients. Competent doctors and excellent, empathetic staff! In 40 years of owning dogs, we've always felt well cared for, advised, and helped here. Thank you for that, and keep up the good work! Highly recommended in every respect!
Yesterday, November 5th, 2025, my dog was attacked by two Kangal dogs belonging to my neighbor and severely injured while trying to protect the flock of sheep. Several sheep were killed, and I had to euthanize some because their legs were eaten down to the bone while they were still alive. I may also have to put down two injured sheep if the severe wounds become infected. Unfortunately, this is already the third incident. Last year, the dogs killed a pregnant sheep, and this spring, they ate a lamb. Dr. Blankenburg was immediately on the scene and even damaged her van on the way. My dog was treated at the clinic—stitched and stapled as initial care. It's still unknown whether he will ultimately survive. Another examination is scheduled for today. We sincerely thank Dr. Blankenburg and her friendly team. Her father and grandfather used to care for our animals, including the horses.
