Dr. Knut Göllnitz

We visited the veterinary practice today and met a new veterinarian. He came across as very friendly and competent. His relaxed manner quickly won us and our dog over. We will remain loyal to this practice.

No waiting times, friendly welcome. Friendly, kind, and competent vet. The team (the two women) are also very competent and helpful. There are two vets at the practice. We saw the second vet today for a bandage change. We'd gladly go back anytime. After moving, we tried several vets (four in total). We went to one vet in the Rhine-Main area for over ten years and were very spoiled. But this team is by far the best within a 20km radius. They saved our Golden Retriever's life three days ago in an emergency operation...

We take our horses to Dr. Knut Göllnitz in Kalkhorst for treatment and are completely satisfied. He is highly competent, handles the animals with care and patience, and always takes ample time for a thorough examination and consultation. The practice is superbly equipped – the indoor riding arena and the adjoining stable area, in particular, offer ideal conditions. The team is also friendly and professional. It's clear that the animals' well-being is truly their top priority. We feel we are in excellent hands and can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Göllnitz!

I had Dr. Göllnitz perform a comprehensive general veterinary examination. He performed his work with absolute calm and fairness toward the animal. He explained each step briefly. He seemed very competent to me. He examined and explained the horse and the findings in great detail. He was completely honest and direct with me and the breeder, which I appreciate. And a witty remark occasionally created a relaxed atmosphere, even though I was terribly nervous. The x-rays and the x-ray report arrived unsolicited by email a week later. When I wrote to Dr. Göllnitz that I had a few questions about a finding, he called me back promptly and took half an hour to explain all the abnormalities in detail, including the probable prognosis. During the conversation, I realized he was on vacation. I apologized and wanted to end the conversation. He simply said that he was happy to do it and that it wasn't a problem. A veterinarian with heart and soul. Even on vacation... Thanks for the uncomplicated AKU process :)

I'd rather not give any stars at all! In short, I have two cats that needed to be neutered. The first cat's suture burst after one day because the wrong thread was used. We were then accused of our cat licking it, which couldn't have been the case, since, first, she was under constant observation and constantly wore a bodysuit. We had to go to another veterinarian as an emergency, who had to open it up again to repair the damage. A week later, we went back to the Göllnitz veterinary practice to have our second cat neutered, which was the biggest mistake ever. There, too, a problem arose again. After about a week and a half, something was protruding from the wound. We then went to another veterinarian as an emergency, who also had to open the second cat again and discovered that the abdominal muscle suture hadn't been properly stitched, and the intestine was already trying to eversion inside out. If we hadn't done anything, things probably would have been worse. We will NEVER go to this doctor again and absolutely cannot recommend him.
