Reviews
Competence, up-to-date knowledge, and loving care for the patients. What more could a pet owner ask for? I can only thank the entire team. The eye surgery and subsequent farewell to my Emma were particularly noteworthy; she was calm and "pleasant" for everyone. ❣️
The vet and team are unbeatable! We've been coming here for many years with our old dog. And we feel incredibly well cared for again with our young Airedale Terrier. Very professional yet loving. Thank you so much for everything you've done for Murphy so far...
We took our dog to Ms. Schulz-Stechmann and unfortunately had a very mixed experience. She seems competent professionally, and the medical advice was generally good. However, the interaction was very difficult for us and especially for our dog. Our dog is a fearful dog, and instead of being sensitive to this, I had the impression that no time was taken to build trust or make the situation less stressful. On the contrary, both my dog and I were significantly more stressed after the appointment than before. The communication was particularly disappointing. We felt unheard and at times even judged, especially because of our decision to adopt a rescue dog. Statements like "it won't work out with him" were neither helpful nor appropriate. We have since changed veterinarians and are experiencing the exact opposite: They take their time, take our dog seriously, and work with patience and understanding – and lo and behold, it's working perfectly. In summary: technically sound, but unfortunately, we cannot recommend her for her interpersonal skills and her handling of sensitive animals. A real shame.
I've been taking our dogs to Gesche Schulz-Stechmann and her dedicated team for many years, and I couldn't wish for a better veterinary practice. She has been with us through thick and thin for years – from the initial checkups to very personal and difficult times. What I particularly appreciate about Gesche is her honesty and directness. She clearly states the facts without performing unnecessary tests, always acting in the best interests of the animal. Her interaction with the animals is respectful, calm, and competent. You can immediately tell that she truly cares about them. As pet owners, we also feel well cared for, taken seriously, and supported at all times, especially in situations where we need quick help and reassurance. For me, she's a veterinarian I trust completely and can wholeheartedly recommend.
I wanted to write a review for the veterinary clinic in Apensen. Our beloved hamster, Kuzya, had become ill. We went to the clinic in Horneburg, but couldn't get an appointment for another week. Since our hamster was getting worse every day, something urgently needed to be done. That's why we went to the veterinary clinic in Apensen. To our surprise, we were seen immediately, even though the clinic had just closed. The veterinarian was very attentive and competent. She examined our hamster thoroughly and prescribed treatment. We sincerely hope that Kuzya will soon be healthy again. I wish the clinic much success and many satisfied and healthy clients.
