We went there for the emergency vet service. The practice was staffed with the vet and two assistants. Both Ms. Vollmar and the assistants were very friendly and helpful (it was Boxing Day!). After a thorough clinical examination and very good, detailed explanations, our dog was given an injection, and we were given medication for the weekend. They also emphasized that they would be there all night and that we should come back if needed. Great! Everything worked out perfectly, thank you so much.

My dog has been receiving treatment at this practice for over five years due to advanced heart failure. This includes an ultrasound of the heart (and other organs if necessary) and the determination and evaluation of blood values. Unfortunately, this treatment should have been routinely performed as well, to rule out fluid inflow into the lungs. This was never discussed, let alone performed, in all these years. Otherwise, I would have very likely learned about the metastases in the lungs early on and been able to treat them specifically. Now my dog is consumed by cancer and is receiving palliative care, even though we regularly perform ultrasounds of the heart and all other organs every three months and constantly check blood values. Lung x-rays are part of this treatment, just like the ultrasound of the heart itself, according to my personal research. Why was such a life-saving examination neglected? And not just once or twice, but for five years! I doubt they even have an X-ray machine there... Aside from that, unfortunately, everything has been in disarray at this practice since Dr. Vollmer retired from regular practice and now only performs surgeries. One doesn't know what the other is doing, and we're prescribed two different medications for the same diagnosis (tracheal collapse), the first of which was even deemed counterproductive – same practice, different doctors. Likewise, one wants to increase his hormones based on his blood values, while the other wanted to decrease them three weeks ago (with the same blood values). Then my 15-year-old Chihuahua absolutely needs an important vaccination. If we come within a month, he would only need a booster and not a new basic vaccination. He specifically postponed his dental surgery for this reason, only to then tell us, despite adhering to the four-week deadline, that he still needs a basic vaccination. Why did the dental surgery have to take place in the summer at 40 degrees Celsius? A (prospective) doctor who is unsure of her own statements, which sometimes vary completely from one visit to the next, makes me uneasy... not to possibly change practices...

Ms. Vollmar loves animals and is an absolute expert in her field. French Bulldogs are also well cared for here; she knows her stuff! Furthermore, her staff are friendly and efficient. The practice is also more affordable than other veterinarians!

I went to see Dr. Vollmar for a heart scan with my cats. Her team treats the cats very lovingly. She is very competent and will be my first port of call for any cardiology issues in the future. I am very satisfied.
