Dr.med.vet. Kesten

I would like to share my experiences with the veterinary practice, and they have been entirely positive. We have known Dr. Kesten and her team for almost five years now, and I can only say that we are always warmly welcomed and our dogs are treated with great empathy and respect. Since we have a large pack, we visit the practice quite frequently. Dr. Kesten always has a sympathetic ear. She diagnosed why one of my dogs had been unwell for a year. She also accompanied another dog through her pregnancy and was always available via video call during the birth. She even left her colleague, Dr. Xylander, at our home for four hours, where she was able to provide us with the necessary support during the birth, as our dog had stopped labor due to uterine insufficiency. Dr. Kesten and Dr. Xylander were in constant contact for over four hours, and we were always involved. They found us a clinic and recommended a location where we could have the puppies delivered by C-section on a Friday evening. When one of the puppies was unwell (the little one was 15 days old), I was able to call Dr. Kesten on a Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. She came to the clinic immediately and fought for the little one for three hours. I was there, and there was constant communication. You won't find such empathy anywhere else. When a friend's male dog contracted babesiosis, I called Dr. Kesten on a Sunday evening to arrange for blood transfusions. My friend lives in Bremen, and they don't know each other at all. Dr. Kesten took it upon herself to find a suitable clinic that provided blood transfusions. That wouldn't have been her responsibility at all, but I received a call about five minutes later, and she told me where my friend could go to get the necessary blood transfusions. ... We recently had to say goodbye to our Irish Wolfhound. The vet came to our home, during her lunch break, mind you, and gave us and the dog all the time we needed. Everything was done calmly, with so much love and empathy, and then our sweet girl was able to pass away peacefully. These are just a few of the experiences I'm sharing; I could tell you so much more positive news! With all due respect, I can wholeheartedly recommend this veterinary practice to everyone. To have such a vet who can adapt to each animal individually is, in my opinion, not something to be taken for granted, especially these days. The entire team is always friendly and loving towards our pack and always has an open ear for any questions. The parking situation isn't ideal, that's true. Of course, if there's an emergency, there are waiting times, but personally, I don't find that too bad considering what the practice offers. ``` ] ``` ``` `` `` ` 100% of the vet's experience is to be expected. ` ... ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` There are people who simply have this heart and empathy for our souls, and I definitely think Dr. Kesten is one of them. I can only speak for our pack, but because we've already experienced quite a bit together, I think I can judge many things here quite well. Despite having an appointment, we had to wait over an hour. We paid €170 for a blood test (which took five minutes). Nothing unusual was found. Far too expensive and the advice was poor. Furthermore, no one even once asked about our cat's eating habits. It turned out at another vet that he had an intolerance and needed to change his diet. The problem could have been solved so easily and inexpensively, but instead, we were charged, and our cat continued to suffer. If you care about your pets, I would advise against this practice. No matter how friendly the staff seems, they rip you off, and your pet will still be unwell afterward.

I took my guinea pig, Oskar, to see Ms. Xylander for treatment. He was very ill 😔. Ms. Xylander diagnosed him with feline leukemia. She treated Oskar wonderfully! She gave me excellent advice and never gave up on him! All my questions were answered thoroughly and clearly, both in person and over the phone. After several days and nights of hand-feeding and medication, Oskar recovered. 😃 We hope to have him with us for a while longer! Thank you so much, Ms. Xylander!

For us, this is the best veterinary practice! I've been taking all my pets here for over 10 years. We've just had a series of visits with our sick cat, and each of the three veterinarians there is incredibly competent, friendly, and above all, empathetic. I've never been pressured into unnecessary treatments or medications; every recommendation has always proven to be spot on! The veterinary assistants there are always incredibly kind—even under the greatest stress—and manage the practice so well! Five stars aren't enough; I'd give them 100 if I could!
