Reviews
I cannot recommend Dr Lukas and his team enough. We've been going here for 3 years and recommend them to everyone we can. The entire team is so caring and professional and Dr Lukas is perfect with our dogs. We will miss them terribly when we move back to the US!
Dr. Lukas misdiagnosed my cat multiple times resulting in me taking her to another veterinarian. Sadly it was too late for any treatment to be effective. Everyone on his staff is kind and understanding but Dr. Lukas as kind as he is might be seemed like he had no clue as to how to care for a sick cat or read the lab results.
Absolutely wonderful staff. Dr. Küke always takes amazing care of my little doggo. She goes above and beyond for her patients and keeps a variety of medicines on hand so she can treat most things in house. If she can't take care of it, she is affiliated with several clinics in the area and will help get you to the right specialist.
Here’s the bottom line- Dr. Lukas does not know how to treat cats, and you should not trust him with your cats’ care. I originally had three, and one of them unfortunately passed away last year due to cancer. There is nothing Dr Lukas could have done to prevent this, however, after running blood tests, he was completely bewildered by my cat’s symptoms. He recommended the cat get an ultrasound, which I had to drive to Nuremberg for. After simply looking at the bloodwork Dr. Lukas ran, the vet there said she could do the ultrasound, but my cat clearly had advanced lymphoma and we could only do things for his comfort at this point. After my cat passed, we noticed similar onset symptoms in our other cat- my husband again brought him to Dr Lukas, who in turn charged him for tests but ended up telling him… drum roll… our cat was seeing the dead cat’s ghost. I am sure Dr Lukas in a nice enough person, but he is absolutely not fit to be a vet. I want our cats to get a check up (see if this is related to FLV), and I will tell you right now I would rather drive to Nuremberg than trust Dr Lukas with the care of my cats.
Great staff, but Dr. Lukas misdiagnosed my cats. Both of which died. Simply provided injections and medicines. After the first kitten died, he told me the second will likely die too and that the best remedy would be to pray. Lmao what? Anyways, I’m sure he was a great Vet at some point, but I think he should retire. He is getting apparently too old and fallible. Would highly NOT recommend this vet.
