We were on holiday in Gemünden and needed a vet for our dog. We were able to come in the same day with an appointment, without any waiting time. Old school, in the best sense. We were at the campsite with our dog. Suddenly, our dog started yelping in pain and wouldn't calm down. One phone call was all it took, and we were able to come in immediately (even on a Saturday outside of regular hours). A very kind and experienced veterinarian. Thank you so much for the quick help!

I was here with my dog ​​because he'd been having problems with his eye since yesterday. He'd been yelping and had gotten something in it, I suspect a sting. I would have liked a proper eye examination, but instead, I was quickly given a cortisone ointment with the words, "But he's had this for a while now" (no, my dog ​​hadn't; I explained to him how the eye got affected the day before). When I refused this, he prescribed a human medicine ointment. I also felt like he wasn't listening to me. He didn't speak well of my regular vet, with whom I'm VERY happy, and because I didn't feel I'd received good advice, I drove to the next town to another vet to have my dog ​​properly examined for corneal damage or similar issues. Two stars because I could have been seen immediately, which could be invaluable in an emergency.

We visited him while on vacation with our elderly dog, who was very ill. Veterinarians in Karlstadt were either completely booked or simply unreachable. We were able to see Dr. Thumes immediately, and he helped quickly and competently. Old school in the best sense.

A very nice and competent veterinarian. Our dog had a large swelling on his neck. One phone call and we were able to come right away. The process and the interaction were absolutely fantastic and uncomplicated.
