Our pony had been under Dr. Hartmann's care for 1.5 years. Last week, our pony's condition deteriorated so drastically that I called Dr. Hartmann on Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. and told him we had to put him down before he collapsed. I've been waiting for his call ever since; he said he'd get in touch. In the meantime, our pony collapsed and had to be euthanized in his stable by a veterinarian who didn't know him. This really didn't have to happen. It gives the impression that if there's nothing left to do, we've become uninteresting. The love for animals is clearly lacking!
Dr. Hartmann performed the pre-purchase exam on my mare. I felt very well advised by him, and he also exudes a great sense of calm in his handling of the horse.
