I was connected to her via the animal emergency service very late at night. She was in a very bad mood and curt. I can understand that if the phone keeps ringing at night, you're not awake, but to hear in response that "it just occurred to you to call and ask for help" – that's precisely what an animal emergency hotline is for.

A wonderfully kind and friendly veterinarian took in our found swift, even though the beautiful property didn't actually have the capacity to take in any more animals. Many thanks for that, and we had a very lovely and heartwarming chat with her husband!

Inhumane would be an understatement. We wanted help for an injured squirrel, which is what one would expect from a wildlife rescue center. However, the only response we received was to put it in a box and leave it to die, or to come back in a year and a half and then they would let it die there... Fortunately, the Cottbus animal shelter was able to help us with a competent veterinarian.

An absolute disaster. I explained to the vet on the phone at the emergency service that the dog had acute bloody diarrhea and vomiting. She then told me she wasn't equipped to handle such a condition and that we should try a charcoal tablet. Luckily, we found a vet the next day who took the illness seriously and provided immediate medical assistance.

What is this wildlife rescue center for? We called to bring in an injured squirrel. The veterinarian told us to put the animal in a cardboard box and wait until it died, or wait until her office hours began. Then we could bring it in, and she would wait until it died. Thankfully, the animal shelter in Cottbus helped us and referred us to a veterinarian.
