HE IS SIMPLY THE BEST!!! He saved our Persian cat "Fussel's" life! She's 14 years old and her health was declining. We thought it was the end. Dr. Weidmann proved us wrong – he did EVERYTHING to show us that she could still be with us for many years to come!!! She's doing better than she has in a long time! Dr. Weidmann took his time and explained everything clearly. The waiting room is always full, of course – but what's waiting compared to our cat's life! And yes – PETS COST MONEY! Anyone who still demonizes that shouldn't get a pet!!! Thank you so much for the loving care of our darling, Dr. Weidmann!!!

I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Weidmann for 25 years and can't understand the bad reviews. I'll tell you the story of my beloved Bull Terrier, Paul, who came to us very sick as a puppy. He suffered from almost every illness imaginable until he was 15.5 years old, and it's thanks to this doctor and his fantastic team that he was able to reach such a respectable age. Dr. Weidmann was always there for us, often even outside of office hours, and he certainly didn't charge us for everything he did. It's true, prices have risen dramatically, but where haven't they? Because of his "too low" prices, he was reported to customs by other veterinarians, and since then he, too, has had to adhere to the official veterinary fee schedule. Since I live in Jena, I sometimes had to go to the animal hospital when acute problems arose, where you pay around €150 for a good day's treatment (it felt like it). The treatment was very good, but also time-consuming and expensive, and often not strictly necessary. Some days I lay next to my dog ​​for 10 hours while he was on an IV drip, whereas with Dr. Weidmann, the same treatment took 30 minutes. He simply administered a subcutaneous injection, saving time, stress, and money. For the past two years, I've had to take Paul to the vet twice a week and have gained a great deal of experience with various veterinarians and clinics to maintain my dog's quality of life as best as possible. I can confidently say that, despite his own health problems and advanced age, Dr. Weidmann was always quick and to the point, both in diagnosis and treatment. I must exclude his substitute vet from my assessment and agree with the negative reviews. In fact, I would rate them even worse. Just last week, I was at the practice and encountered this same vet because Dr. Weidmann was on vacation. The first time I went there, my dog ​​was having trouble walking (severe arthritis). This "doctor" neither checked his reflexes, even though he had never seen him, nor did he even touch him. He gave him an injection and was done. The second time, two days later, I was there because my dog ​​had a rust-colored discharge from his ears. Without even checking his ears, he wanted to give me an ointment for the outer ear canal. At my indignation, he first checked one ear with a special device, and when I asked if the other one wasn't important, he used the same device on the other ear, saying there was nothing wrong and I should just apply the ointment. Two days later, my beloved dog was already very lethargic, so I went to the veterinary clinic where they diagnosed a ruptured eardrum due to a severe ear infection. My dog ​​was given painkillers there, and his ears were treated as best they could. But on Sunday evening, in my desperation, I called the vet, hoping he was back from vacation, and rushed to his place with my dying dog and my husband. He gave him more painkillers and hoped our little white dog would survive the night and that the treatment would work. My soul left me that night when I fell asleep in his dog bed with him in my arms. The doctor, his team, my husband, and I spared no expense or effort for 15.5 years to give this dog a good life despite his health issues, and this "doctor" allowed my dog ​​to die in great pain from an ear infection. I still haven't gotten over it. If this man is covering for him, I leave the practice because otherwise, I'll lose my temper. But I won't hear a bad word said about my Dr. Weidmann and his fantastic, friendly, and competent team. My husband and I thank you and, with Paul, have been able to prove to the world that those given up for dead can live long lives.

Dr. Weidmann was always a good veterinarian, but this other vet is really not recommended! In my opinion, my dog ​​was judged based on his breed. Instead of friendly and professional treatment, the breed was repeatedly criticized, which I found inappropriate. Furthermore, the tone towards me was unfriendly. Regardless of personal opinions, the animal's well-being should always be the top priority. Therefore, I unfortunately cannot recommend this practice.
