Dr. med. vet. Volkmar Weidmann

We've been going to Dr. Weidmann for three years now, and everything has always been fine. I would consider Dr. Weidmann competent; you can tell he knows what he's doing. For the past few months, I've been taking my dog ​​to him for treatment of a bladder infection that just won't go away. For months, my dog ​​has only been getting supplements, which work well as long as he takes them. Yesterday, I bought more supplements from him; the package was supposed to contain 125 tablets. The package was already open, and there were only 38 tablets left out of 125. Outrageous! €30 for less than a quarter of the stated number on the package. We had the same problem a few months ago with the tick tablets; there were only 2 out of 4 tablets left in the package. We are very disappointed and probably won't be coming back. What a shame!

HE IS SIMPLY THE BEST!!! He saved our Persian cat "Fussel's" life! She's 14 years old and her health was declining. We thought it was the end. Dr. Weidmann proved us wrong – he did EVERYTHING to show us that she could still be with us for many years to come!!! She's doing better than she has in a long time! Dr. Weidmann took his time and explained everything clearly. The waiting room is always full, of course – but what's waiting compared to our cat's life! And yes – PETS COST MONEY! Anyone who still demonizes that shouldn't get a pet!!! Thank you so much for the loving care of our darling, Dr. Weidmann!!!

I am unfortunately not satisfied with Dr. Weidmann's veterinary practice. During our visits, I had the impression that the practice was very hectic overall, leaving hardly any time for a calm, thorough examination. Dr. Weidmann strikes me as unempathetic and doesn't seem to be able to handle every animal—especially anxious dogs. As a veterinarian, he shows little sensitivity towards animals that don't immediately react as he expects. My dog, who usually enjoys going to the vet, refuses to enter the practice. The diagnoses were either incorrect or very vague, which further eroded my trust in him. I have since chosen a different veterinarian and would never set foot in that practice again.
