I've been to Dr. Freudenthal's twice now and was satisfied both times. But today, something happened that left me speechless and prompted me to switch vets immediately. Before the holidays, I had my dog's blood drawn because she wasn't feeling well. The results came back before the holidays, and they only briefly mentioned the deficiency and that antibiotics would be necessary. Okay, last week I was sick myself and couldn't go to the vet. I called ahead and let them know, and they said it wouldn't be a problem and gave me an appointment for Tuesday (no mention of the dog needing to be seen again), because they wanted to discuss something else regarding the antibiotics but didn't know what. Today, I called again because my dog ​​had gotten worse over the weekend and asked if I could pick up the antibiotics today instead of tomorrow. They told me the dog would need to be seen again and examined again before they could administer antibiotics. I was, of course, completely taken aback, as this hadn't been communicated to me beforehand, and Dr. [Name] knew that my financial situation wasn't the best at the moment, which I emphasized again. After I mentioned this, she became very rude and asked in a very unfriendly tone if she was supposed to work for me for free. I never said or demanded anything like that. I was quickly cut off when I asked what I was supposed to do until the end of the month with my dog, who only eats carrot soup and has a bad blood test. I am truly very disappointed by such a reaction from a doctor. I have now switched to another doctor who calmly explained the blood test results to me step by step, told me what feeding methods I could try, gave me an antibiotic, and really took a lot of time for me. It's a shame that this wasn't the case here and that I was treated this way; I hadn't had any bad experiences before.
