Reviews
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this vet. All questions, problems, and suggestions were ignored; instead, they simply said, "We'll do that next time"...? What's the point of even coming in then? For an initial consultation? You take an animal in need of treatment to a vet who then completely ignores all the issues. Very disappointing. In the end, I was left with a bad feeling and a very poor impression. Those were 10 very expensive minutes.
I took my degus there. Everyone was very friendly and seemed very competent. It's not easy to find a good vet, especially for degus. On a related note: The hygiene protocols are excellent. My animals were kept warm, and I was given a pager and waited in my car. The treatment rooms are accessible from outside.
A very compassionate veterinarian; we had to have our dog put down, and she exuded a great deal of calm and was simply there for us. We've been going to Dr. Hessling for many years and will entrust our next dog to her as well.
