Reviews
Gesa is one of a kind: golden eyes and golden hands. Almost no other veterinarian I know needs so few "instruments and equipment" to identify a problem and its cause, and to eliminate it if possible. She has been with our horses and us for many, many years! And she has literally saved the lives of some of our horses, significantly improving their quality of life! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Gesa! I hope you continue practicing for a very, very long time! It would be a huge loss if you didn't!
Ms. Meier-Bidmon's extensive practical skills and expertise allow her to resolve even the most severe blockages, sometimes under sedation. From a medical perspective, this is definitely advisable. In vulnerable areas, such as the neck, it can be fatal or pointless if the horse reflexively tenses up. In our case, she gradually resolved significant problems. Depending on the severity of the issues, accompanying physiotherapy or osteopathy, along with considerable long-term effort from the horse through exercises, is certainly necessary to stabilize the therapy. She only treats when absolutely necessary, and the results are then impressive and remarkable. At a point when I was already being made to fear ataxia/wobbler syndrome/ECVM, she demonstrated the effects and symptoms, as well as the corresponding diagnoses, that even the most severe blockages can cause. Certainly, not everyone is as fortunate as we were, and prior diagnostic testing may be required. She is in high demand, so patience in scheduling an appointment is worthwhile. I am very grateful for her support.
I don't want to comment on the quality or manner of treatment, either positively or negatively. Unfortunately, Ms. Gesa Meier-Bidmon is very unreliable when it comes to being reachable. Invoices are sent many months later, and when you call because it's impossible to determine which of three horses was treated (since the invoice doesn't list the correct horse's name), you have to deal with her husband, who, of course, can't really say anything except that the invoices are always correct! But the best part is that Ms. Meier-Bidmon is at the stables and, when asked if she can examine a horse, she argues that it's taking time, but then tells other people behind her back that she won't treat our horses anymore, simply because we expressed our opinion about the invoicing and the lack of transparency. This is highly unprofessional! I wanted to refrain from writing a review and try to resolve this by phone, but, of course, as always, she's unreachable! No callback! (No callback) Value for money is always subjective, but in this case, it must be said that bad quality doesn't have to be cheap. You can only get away with that when treating animals.
Ms. Meier-Bidmon is fantastic! We highly recommend her. She's a true professional. Thank you so much for the holistic treatment of our two horses.
Gesa noticed things with my horse (as well as with my friends' horses) right from the first treatment session that no other vet had been able to explain. She helped my horse tremendously, and we're still seeing her and making great progress. Making an appointment with her was the best decision I've ever made. I'd go back again and again! ☺️😍 Our whole stable swears by her, and rightly so! 🙏🏻
