Reviews
I took my cat to this veterinary practice for treatment and was unfortunately very disappointed with the visit. I can hardly comment on the medical aspects of the treatment, but the interpersonal interaction was extremely unpleasant. From the very beginning, the veterinarian seemed unempathetic and lacking in sensitivity – both towards me and in her handling of my pet. She responded to questions curtly and sometimes irritably, without taking the time to explain things clearly. Especially when you're worried about your pet, I would have appreciated more compassion and patience. Overall, I didn't feel taken seriously. The atmosphere was cold, almost dismissive, which made the entire appointment very unpleasant. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice and will look for a veterinarian with more empathy and better communication skills next time.
We moved and were looking for a new veterinarian, which is how we came across Dr. Henpf. Our first impression of the practice was initially positive. We were greeted warmly, etc. Our dog needed an x-ray. She's a bit anxious during these kinds of examinations and whined several times. Dr. Henpf quickly became impatient and even started yelling at our dog. At the next appointment, our dog needed blood drawn. The same thing happened again. My dog whined in fear, whereupon the veterinarian immediately became impatient and, at the same time, angry. She yelled at my already frightened dog. I explained to her that such behavior wouldn't help calm my dog down. Her veterinary assistant agreed. Dr. Henpf calmed down a little, but the appointment didn't improve. During the blood draw, she unnecessarily spilled a lot of blood. Practical competence was lacking. My dog was terrified at home for the rest of the day afterward. I was initially misled by the positive reviews here when choosing this practice. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.
I took my cat to the vet for a check-up. During the examination, the vet was quite rough when my cat resisted and even yelled at her. When I asked her to handle my cat more gently, she became choleric and angry. A veterinarian should want to help living beings, not be annoyed by them and mistreat them. Her competence was therefore zero, and her manner was equally unprofessional. Never again!!
I brought my two cats to the practice for a check-up for the first time. You normally expect a friendly welcome on a first visit, but unfortunately, reality was quite different! We were greeted very rudely, as the vet seemed to be stressed. She barely took the time to examine my animals properly, and her handling was very rough. When my cat resisted, she became loud and angry. She grabbed my adult cat by the scruff of the neck; this should only be done with kittens, if at all. One would expect a vet to know this, but sadly, she didn't. Due to a misdiagnosis, I then had to pay a hefty sum for surgery at another practice six months later. My pet could have been spared this suffering! I called the practice again, but my call was met with an angry and insulting response. I cannot recommend this practice, and especially this vet, to anyone who truly cares about their animals!
Unfortunately, I have to report a very bad experience with veterinarian Dr. Henpf. My dog needed a blood test and was understandably nervous and scared. Instead of remaining calm and showing empathy, Dr. Henpf yelled at him loudly. She increasingly lost her temper, which only made the situation worse. Even the veterinary assistant present—who, by the way, was very friendly, patient, and professional—advised her to remain calm, as did I. Dr. Henpf calmed down briefly, but the situation escalated again shortly afterward. The result: The appointment was extremely stressful for my dog, and he was clearly frightened in the days that followed. This was the exact opposite of what one expects from veterinary treatment. I expect calmness, professionalism, and empathy from a veterinarian—especially when dealing with anxious animals. Unfortunately, Dr. Henpf demonstrated none of these qualities. The only positive thing I can say is that the veterinary assistant did an exemplary job… Therefore, based on my experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this practice. While the many positive reviews convinced me beforehand, after this experience I simply cannot understand them. I have since switched to the practice in Rauschenberg and am completely satisfied with theirs.
